Mane: Short, spiked, sweeping upwards. Alternating royal purple and lavender.
Eyes: Teal.
Coat: Sage green.
Special markings: Lighter sage green sock on the right foreleg.

Background: Born and raised in Cloudsdale, Sage Fire agreed to attend Flight Academy for one reason alone: to escape Cloudsdale. Her reasons for wanting to leave Cloudsdale are many, among them being wanting to live life as she wishes, escaping from her family's closed-minded lifestyle, and simply trying to find happiness.

She was teased lightly year after year by her peers, but never enough for the instructors at the Academy to take any action. That teasing paired with her family's closed-minded lifestyle fueled Sage Fire's desire to escape the cloud city and make a life of her own, outside of the realm of what her family expected of her.

With a fear of heights, learning how to fly wasn't easy. Most her childhood was spent trying to overcome her fear of heights enough so that she could strengthen her flight skills, and even to this day she still feels a bit woozy when high in the air.

Still, Sage Fire prefers to walk if she can. She enjoys simply being able to observe life and those around her, content with her journey to try and figure out exactly what she's meant to do in life. She understands her special talent, but is always seeking for more that she can do with her talent to aid others, and make some sort of impact on the world and those who live in it.

There are many times when Sage Fire misses her family, and has even gone back to visit every once in a while. When she returns, however, she is reminded of exactly why she left: closed-minded, bigoted ponies who expect her to live her life to further their own desires, not her own. Visiting serves the purpose of maintaining some relationship, though, and is much more manageable than having to deal with them day to day as she would have had to if she'd never left.

Working part-time cloud-clearing jobs, as well as any other decent jobs willing to hire in order to pay the bills, Sage Fire focuses much of her time on pursuing her writing and theatrical talents.

Personality: Sage Fire is a very affectionate, loving pony, but has a constant fear of being left alone. She always tries to look on the bright side, and does everything she can to make other ponies happy. Unfortunately, this leads to her often forgetting to take care of herself.

Sage Fire works hard when she needs to, but is very laid back and lazy at heart. She's quite a silly pony, but often that lightheartedness is hidden beneath a layer of thick skin that she's grown over the years to protect herself.

From a very young age, Sage Fire had had to take care of both herself and her mother, so at times she can seem a bit overly mature, and has been told that she can be intimidating. Never having many friends because of this, Sage Fire longs for friendship that goes beyond the superficial level of being acquaintances. All she really wants is a best friend, and to eventually find her super special somepony.

She longs for consistency and stability in her personal relationships. Sage Fire tends to think deeply about all matters, leaving her with a clear concept of the possibilities in most situations - but this type of overthinking is a double-edged sword, both aiding and hindering her. The unexpected makes her nervous, and causes anxiety to take over her usually calm mind.

Cutie Mark: A thought cloud with three trailing cloud bits, earned when Sage Fire made the decision to break free from her family's expectations. Deciding that she was going to leave Cloudsdale despite her family's long history of living there took a great amount of thought, which foreshadowed Sage Fire's thoughtful, deeply analytic nature that would further develop as she grew.

The thought cloud also represents the concept of thought and ideas, which are important to Sage Fire's writing and theatrical skills. (Ideas for writing, thought for really getting inside a character's head, thought also to represent her personality, etc.)

In general, this talent aids her creative side, as well as her level of perception when speaking with other ponies. This doesn't make her 100% accurate, but it certainly allows her to pick up on some things that other ponies may never be able to.
