Background: Born in the suburbs of Manehattan from 2 greengrocers, both earth pony, Dirt Digger never really shared his like for selling fruits and vegetables like his parents. He was more interested in his comic books, especially in his hero Vault Hunter, a charismatic daredevil adventurer. His childhood dreams are made of him going on adventures to discover fantastic treasures and reveal ancient mysteries. His favorite past time when school was over or when his parents didn't need him at the store was to go in the forest or in the outskirt of the town to try to find hidden treasures and play the adventurer game with his friends.

But time passed and his friends went on their way one after one and soon he became alone. Alone with his parents, still selling fruits and vegetables, he would grow bored and tired. His parents were not blind to this and for his 18th birthday, gifted him money and kit for archaeology. They also let him know they support and understand his desire for adventure and he is not obligated to follow their traces. After a few days of preparation and some touching goodbyes, he went on his way searching for work. Sadly, most of the places he went to demand experience and would not accept him. Discouraged and depressed, words came to his ears the old castle of the Princesses has been found near a town called Ponyville. Seeing a huge opportunity in there, he headed his way towards this little village.

Personality: Gentle, quick-thinking, determined, overconfident in his ideas. He can also be greedy and let anger/panic take control of him in stressful situation.

In social relations, Dirt Digger isn't in a hurry to make friend. He'll give a chance to people and be nice to them by principle but doesn't waste his time with people who are unnecessary rude. He won't be afraid to share his opinion if needs be but doesn't want to start pointless arguments either and this is something his friends learned real fast. He will be nice if you are nice and he really wish he could be friend with everyone.

It looks like you've got the start of a pretty good character here, all I'd like to see is some additional information about how he behaves socially. Is he outgoing or shy? Does he make friends easily or does it take a lot of time? Does he act differently around his friends as opposed to around ponies he doesn't know well? Things like that help flesh out the character.
