Fraps is shit, we used to use some thing else to record game play when i used to game, doesn't eat up you CPU as much and therefore reduces lag. I cant recall what it was called but i will try and find out for you.
also in most games you can increase FPS in the command panel, in ET:QW it was com_unlockFPS XX, 1 was the default at 30FPS and you could max it at 120


worked at 1080, but to be honest it looked no better. what ever you are playing is clearly not at 1080

Mm, might actually be 1600x900. I was playing in a window like I normally do. When I record I should go into full screen.
