Background: Dinky Hooves is the daughter, of Derpy, Ponyville's famed mailmare and muffin lover. She knows her mommy is the bestest in all of Equestria, and loves her more than anypony else, even if she's a bit stressed from her job at the post office. Dinky notices the fact that her mother's eyes are derped as they are, but thinks very little of it, citing what she had been told, "Mommy's left eye is for watching the world around her, and the right one is always watching me, wherever I go!".

Dinky, like all the other young fillies and colts in Ponyville, attends school. There, some ponies have tried to make fun of her because of her mother, although she just laughs this away, unfased. She struggles in her education, having a difficult time mouthwriting neatly and spelling properly, as well as being unable to perform even simple magic spells... not yet, anyways! She will try constantly to levitate an object, only to fail and pick it up like a regular earth pony, smiling all the while. However, she's very reluctant to give up if she desires to do something, even if it's as simple as asking for a few bits for a piece of candy, instead begging and nagging until she either gets her way or is yelled at.

Last mother's day, Dinky tried her very hardest to make a poem for her mommy, and excitedly sealed it in an envelope, constantly eyeing the stairs as she awaited the grey pegausus to appear. When her Derpy did appear, she excitedly carried the letter to and fro, while her mother groggily went on with her morinin routine, grabbing the paper and struggling to make her coffee, generally ignoring the filly. Having been asked to take a leave from her work, Dinky's mother snappily chasted her daughter for being in her face, not realizing the day to be as it was. She yelled at Dinky, sending the young unicorn running to her room, scared and crying. Later, Derpy having noticed and read the loving stanzas composed by her "little muffin", Dinky heard a faint knock on her door, and worriedly unlocked it, allowing her mother inside. Dinky claims, even to this day, that she was only startled, and it WAS her fault that her mommy yelled like that. After some tears, laughs, and warm cuddles, the mother and daughter fell asleep in each other's embrace.

Today, Dinky goes around Ponyville like every other pony, passing time while her mother busily works her important job. She is trying to practice her basic magic, and wants to learn the layout of town, in a hope to one day help her mommy deliver mail when she's older.

Personality: Dinky is a loving young filly, caring and understanding towards everypony she meets, and isn't fased one bit by any taunting. She sees herself as being a bit older and more mature than she actually is, even though she can be a bit stubborn. Dinky is also scared by shouting and loud noises, but will deny that fact.

Cutie Mark: Blank Flank ((Dinky does appear in some show scenes from Winter Wrap-Up sporting a variety of Cutie Marks. However, based on her age being younger than the CMC's, and not having one mark set in stone from canon, I'm saying she's a blank flank ^.^ ))
