Lamare had finished the burnt breakfast and packed up her things in a jif as she ran off to join up with the others. "I'm ready now! Let's go slow ponies!" She runs ahead of the others for the the temple itself. "Woohoo! Adventure time!"

"We can't have the queen of explosions getting in there first!" Trinket cried out, running to catch up with Lamare. The smile across his face revealed his joy at finally getting to explore this temple.
Dino screams out to the two ponies. "Wait!!" As Dino yelled the ground in front of the entrance gave way, sending everyone plummeting down a shaft. Dino hit the bottom with a thud. He reached into his bag and pulled out a lantern, lighting it with a match. "Is Everypony alright?"

Dark Pasts groaned, rubbing her wings. "Yeah... I'm okay. A little sore, but alright." She looked up. "Hmm..."
She looked at Dino. "Sir... are you okay?"

Pwny was able to open his wings in time to slow his descent. "Well, that was unfortunate. But on the bright side, I guess we're inside." Looking up, the fall was sudden but not horribly deep. "I suppose this is as good a place to start as any. We'll just have to be more careful." The group had traveled some time to get here and run into very little trouble until now. Even the events of that morning had been tame at best. Was that tremor just coincidence, or related to the temple?

Lamare floated down with her tent acting like a parachute. "That was fun!" She landed and packed up the tent again and used her magic to make a little fire orb for some light as she looked around the hole. "So, are we stuck in a pitfall trap? Or is there a doorway around here somewhere?"
Dino rolled his eyes as he swung the lantern around. "Here, there's a door through here!" He pointed to a hole in the wall big enough for a pony to get through and trotted through it. He spoke after he went through. "Sweet mother of Celestia...!" Inside was a huge room filled with artifacts, just lined up on the walls; almost like an accounting office.

Outside of the temple a small blue box with a great big hot air balloon sticking out of the top of it, slowly descended towards the temple. Across each of its sides the words "Pony Box" was clearly written. This was of course the "Tethered Aerial Release Developed In Style," aka the TARDIS. It hit the ground with a mighty CLUNK as it landed. A few moments passed before a low whirring noise was heard as the balloon began to deflate and slowly reel itself into the top of the TARDIS, releasing the hot air into the trees that overhang above it. Before the balloon could safely lock itself into a special compartment at the top of the box, a nimble tannish-brown colt dashed out of the box.
"Wow-wee!" the colt shouted as he shook his head, "what a landing! Need to reverse the polarity on the landing mechanism the next time I get the chance."
The colt finished dusting himself off before taking in his surroundings. A smile slowly grew as he started to realize all of the camping gear laying around. He quickly strolled over to the fire pit. Bending close he prodded the dying flames.
"Hmmm, still fairly warm..."
He examined the tents nearby for further clues.
"...yes, yes. Some kind of expedition crew," he mumbled to himself, "and, by the looks of it, a dangerous one at that."
The colt eyed up the still fresh burnt marks on the ground leftover by Lamare. His grin grew even bigger.
"Fantastic!"
Dashing back into the TARDIS, the colt emerged wearing his best brown suit with a dashing red tie. Not wasting a further moment, he galloped off in the direction of the various hoof prints leading towards the temple. It wasn't long before he found himself in front of the dark entrance to temple.
"They could have gotten far. Judging by the state of the camp, they only left about a half hour ago! With any luck I should be able to catch up in no ti- WAH! What's this?"
The colt had barely stopped himself before falling down the gaping hole in the ground. Well, that can't be good. Doing his best, the colt managed to sidestep the hole and jump the small way into the temple.
"Ha-ha!" he shouted. "That wasn't so bad."
The colt took one step forward. As his hoof came down, a slight 'click' rang out. Before he had the time to think, the colt was quickly swept up off his hooves. He playfully yelped as he was dragged across the ground be a rushing of wind being sucked into the temple. Before long, he was flying through the air towards a hole in the ceiling.
"Well, here we go!" Was all he managed to shout out before disappearing into the ceiling.
"GERONIMO!"
Trinket managed to spread his wings just in time to not hit the ground with any force.
"Well... that was certainly different." He remarked casually, looking around, "but at least we're inside now. We'll have to find some way back up to the entrance though." He checked his camera for any damage, before taking a picture of the open hole above them. Only then did he notice all the artifacts.
"Jackpot!" He exclaimed, dashing over to the nearest collection, taking photographs and, taking a notepad out of his saddlebags, making notes on them.
"Alright Everypony, fan out and catalog everything. But don't take everything yet, we will mark this room and come back... Oh, and BE CARFUL!" Dino took out a note pad, and walked around writing this done and staring in awe at the artifacts in front of him.
