Hey there, everypony! The summer solstice is nearly upon us, and that means it's the longest day of the year, which, of course, means it's time for the Summer Sun Celebration yet again!
This year, the Summer Sun celebration will take place on Saturday, June 22, 2013. This is an all-day shoutbox RP event, your character(s) are free to come and go as they please throughout the day, to accommodate all RPers.
Make your way down to the park in Ponyville, and expect the festivities to begin Saturday afternoon (perhaps 2:00 GMT-5?) and carry on in various levels of activity throughout the evening and night. The festivities will end, of course, with the rising of the sun!
Whether you're an active shoutbox RPer or are considering getting into the shoutbox for the first time, the Summer Sun Celebration is an event for you. There will be food, games, chatter, ponies, more ponies, fun, and princesses! Don't miss out on one of the few opportunities each year to talk to Princess Celestia and Princess Luna -- they'll be in attendance come the evening, after the moon has risen and the day's work in Canterlot is complete.
I can personally promise that Nightmare Moon will not ruin this year's festivities.
