Description:

Personality: Most of the time, Collin is a normal pony, going about normal day things, reading books, doing house work, among other normal day activities. Some of the time Collin has a frown on his face, because he is upset or just bemused. This partially comes from the fact that some of the time other ponies and him don't see eye to eye on different topics. He enjoys reading, writing, most kinds of music depending on his mood, and whatever comes to him at the time as enjoyable. When alone, he'll drift off, launching into livid daydreams of past, present, and future, often mumbling to himself, to his dismay. This has led to many an odd look from a passing filly, or any pony, to be honest. He pays little heed to this though, too lost in his mind to pay them any mind.

Background: Collin has lived in Ponyville for most his life, and doesn't remember coming from anywhere else, although his father told him that their family once traveled abroad. His father and his mother had once traveled all around Equestria, whether searching for old and rare books, or trekking into unexplored parts of wild. When Collin was born they realized they could no longer keep doing this, and settled in the quiet town of Ponyville, where his mother actually grew up. His father worked as an author and store clerk during his childhood, and Collin can remember never being allowed to interrupt his father while he was working. His mother was generally a stay at home mom, occasionally picking up work for the store his father managed, or care-taking various other buildings and stores.

Growing up Collin wasn't really part of any social groups in school. He preferred reading a book on the playground during recess then playing games with the other foals. He got his cutie mark one day when he entered a poetry contest at the school, that was normally ranked for ponies of an older age, for ponies of higher artistic talent and skill. After submitting one of his favorite poems that he had written during his times spent looking up at the sky and daydreaming, he won 1st prize, and his cutie mark appeared. It was a depiction of a raven, which was what the poem was centered on. Collin had written it when he was in the park and had seen a few of them. Immediately they where his favorite bird, as he was enthralled at how black they were, yet still chose to be prominent in everyday life. It also shows his love for creative writing, which quickly began to rise, ever since the discovery of his mark.

Nowadays Collin has moved out of his parent's house in the outskirts of town to one that's in town, near the park. He goes about his everyday things, just doing whatever he feels like at the time, which is prone to change.
