Dark Pasts held her breath and dove down a few seconds after Whirlwind, her cobalt eyes glimmering with a challenge. She made her mental plan: to stay behind Whirlwind until the branch touch. Then she would accelerate and hopefully win. Hopefully.

Pyro Mancer dashed right as Whirl did and could feel the air hitting his face. He squinted his eyes and tried to stay at the same pace as Whirl. He fell slightly behind Whirl after they started getting closer to the ground.

Dark Pasts winced as the wind blew harshly in her face. Whirl was close to the ground, and she was slightly behind. Could she still pull off her original plan?((I'm sooo sorry not being here. Pyro Mancer tried harder and as tears literally left from his eyes he was almost going the same exact speed as Whirl. He clinched his jaw and tried going even faster.
Whirl saw the other two coming in closer and decided that the time for playing games was over. He opened up his wings and started to push himself down towards the earth faster and faster. At the absolute last second he pulled up and tore a branch from the tree with a loud *SNAP*. He then bolted straight back up into the sky just as the other two reached the tree.
Pyro watched Whirl go up into the sky. He forgot about the tree and rammed right in it. He then saw stars going around him.
Completely forgetting about the race, Dark Pasts froze and went over to Pyro. She levitated by him while he dazed.
"Are you okay?" She asked, worried.
Whirl quickly reaches the cloud again and lands on it gently, not knowing what happened at all. He pants a couple of times and tries to catch his breath. He peeked over the cloud to see where the other are and he notices they haven't even left the tree. Growing concerned he started to fly back down to see if everypony was alright.
