Spoiler Fail?

How come every time I try to do a spoiler, it fails?
Example...
[spoiler] [/spoiler]

Is there some kind of special way to do it on this forum or something?

you didn't give a subject, simply do [.spoiler=something]*insert text here*[/spoiler] without the .

Spoiler: something 

for example you'd get this

simply add =subject behind the first spoiler and no that wouldn't work as the image you want to use isn't a .jpg or a .anything i believe :/ here I turned it into one for you http://i45.tinypic.com/nceb7c.png

just put [.img]http://i45.tinypic.com/nceb7c.png[/img] without the . between the spoiler hope this helped.

If you want to link an image, use the direct image link.
For example, use "http://fc05.deviantart.net/fs70/i/2011/325/2/2/my_terror_pony_murder_is_magic_by_tlk_peachii-d4ct9n4.png" instead of "http://tlk-peachii.deviantart.com/art/My-Terror-Pony-Murder-is-Magic-263385616"

Click those links, and see the difference.
The IMG tags don't work unless it's a direct link to an image.
Also, I believe the spaces make it fail in this case.
