I try to do it in little bits and pieces. I find if I spend too long writing at a time then my writing quality suffers quite badly. Though it means I have multiple stories unfinished...

Hmm... It depends where I am. When I'm at home I try to write a bit out properly because I have somewhere safe to store it, but on the go I take notes.
