Words can be the most powerful weapons out there, if used properly.

In your case it wasn't used properly.

That part of the riddle was sword anyway. The riddle said letters 4 through 8 spelled a weapon, not just letters 5 through 8. So yeah, brae messed up with the right answer.

Graahh... trying to wrap my head around this one... my thoughts wandered to some sort of collective or gathering of many "to get the words to tell your kin"... High school drifted through my mind "though all are different, they act the same," but that doesn't match with the rest of the riddle... "answer in practically name" well of course it is, because the name is the answer... what kind of clue is that? Unless it's riddle as Lints guessed, being the fact that it is a riddle making it the answer.

An hourglass measures time, and as such the sand falls at a generally constant speed through the hourglass. If it sped up as it went, it would be a terrible way of tracking time

So if you start shaking with an hourglas or take it in your hand for a walk or even hold it sideways then the sand will fall faster? I'm calling bullshit on your interpretation.

"The more I stand still the faster I run."

This line is just plain wrong. you turn an hourglass, it starts running, it runs at a generally constant rate, until the sand has all passed through.
Shaking it, or going on a walk with it has nothing to do with the fact that the statement is wrong in itself.
