It have been a while since we had some proper, big events ( well, a couple of weeks, at least ).
Due to this, and heavily inspired by @Flutterlovers 's own little city, I would like to make a similar project of my own. Well, not just mine.
I would like to ask if anyone would be interested in building a city of a slightly different kind: A floating city. Of course, we already have one kind of floating 'city', the starting village, so this may seem slightly pointless. I'd like to add a small twist to it though.
Instead of having the houses and buildings floating on their own for no reason, and to allow things such as gardens and a bit of nature, the city would be build on floating half-spheres of nature. This would allow buildings to be more visually different ( though keeping to some kind of theme still ) and, most importantly, less risk of the ever-so-fun 'Falling off the edge', as you will mostly be working away from the edge. Not to mention that a city of large, floating, interconnected spheres could be fun to see from a distance.
In addition to this, this floating city can be used for other events later on, in particularly PvP-events, during which all chests and blocks can be locked, to ensure there is no cheating - just an awesome terrain to run around in.
However, I do not yet know if anyone but me would be even remotely interested in this.
What it'd mean for you, practically, is that you'd get to pick the general ( or possibly pick a very specific ) bit of terrain of a size of your own choice. This will then be copied and set up to a half-sphere ( with an outer layer on the bottom half of your choice ), and from there you may build on top of it as you please.
Thoughts?
