Name: Blinkie Pie, Bellamina Pie
Gender: Female
Species: Earth Pony
Age: 20-21
Picture:
Background: Blinkie Pie grew up somewhat impoverished, working through her childhood on her family's rock farm, living in a strict, traditional household outside of Ponyville with her father, Clyde, her mother, Sue, and her two estranged sisters, Inkie and Pinkie. She worked day and night, chipping out pieces of rock and granite, dragging them onto the family wagon, the prized possession of the Pies, then riding the old thing out down to the market. After hopefully selling something, they made the long trip back back, reaching home a few hours after sundown.
Now, don't get the wrong idea, Blinkie was not mistreated, abused, or neglected by her parents. They loved her with a firm hoof, making sure nothing happened to her in her future. She rarely spent time not working on, selling, or thinking about rocks, but, where most people would have grown to despise them, she came to be fascinated with every aspect and facet of rocks and minerals. Earning the nickname "Rocky", she began to base her entire life around rocks, the best places to find them, what types of mattes to use,
Personality: Blinkie Pie is somewhat shy, not as much as Inkie, though. A small amount of chatting, and she'll talk. But, even when she seems ecstatic, she's not close to Pinkie's hyperactive happiness or Inkie's seemingly perpetual sadness. She's in the middle personality wise, so normal. Sometimes sad, sometimes happy. Usually, pretty optimistic. But, she is easily frustrated when things don't go as planned, and she doesn't take criticism very well at all.
Cutie Mark: Blinkie Pie's cutie mark is of a brown, oblong rock. Her talent is that she is an excellent rock farmer and miner, entailing that she is an expert in minerals and mineral identification. Blinkie received her cutie mark two weeks after the Sonic Rain-Boom that caused Pinkie Pie's cutie mark to appear. As she reached to crack open a rock for the umpteenth time, it suddenly split open. Amazed, and certainly confused, she cradled the rock in her hoof, staring intently at it. Suddenly, there was a flash of light, and the rock was gone. She searched for where it had gone.
Then, out of the corner of her eye, she saw a glint below the somber dirt. Scraping away the ground, she revealed a diamond, the size of her nose. As she turned to go and tell her family, she saw something on her flank. It was her Cutie Mark, for being excellent at finding, mining, and selling minerals. After getting her cutie mark, her mood vastly improved, as she began to study into rocks and minerals, hoping to sell minerals and mineral accessories. She's kept that diamond to that day, and even though it's smudged with dirt and the blemishes of time, it's still her prized possession. She aspires to purchase a mineral stand in the Ponyville market, which is the main reason she came to Ponyville. Nowadays, she frequently goes out on expeditions to the forgotten mines of Equestria, her saddlebags constantly bulging with varieties of rocks and minerals, always trying to find that one rare pony who actually cares about rocks. She considers the study, collection, and sale of rocks a forgotten art, like fletching, and chivalry.
After going around Equestria for years, having left home at 16, she's finally decided to make her way over to Ponyville, distant taut strings of nostalgia and memories drawing her back, from when she used to sell rocks with her family, and an overbearing sense of curiosity, drawing her ever closer and closer.
