Approximate Age: Unknown, but thought to have existed since the beginning (10,000 years).
Description: Azrael is an Archangel Alicorn who has existed ever since the first pony was created. He has red, flaming eyes, a black and grey body, and pure white hair, symbolising his status as an Immortal Archangel. He is an Alicorn, and he has control over life and death. He guides those who have recently died, and visits those who fear death, teaching them to accept death, and to embrace it with happiness. He also finds and collects lost spirits, often called ghosts, and brings them to peace. His last duty is to absolve (save) those who have been Damned, who are still worthy to be saved. Azrael is able to change his size at will, up to 30 feet in height.
Personality: Azrael is a kind, solemn, and quiet mannered Alicorn, who seeks to bring death without panic or pain. He is often saddened by those who have taken their lives because of acts of cruelty, and seeks to confort them.
Cutie Mark: Scythe and Open Hand, Crossed. The scythe represents death, and the hand represents support, and could also be considered to represent kindness and strength. Because Azrael is an Archangel, he was given his cutie mark when given his duty. Little is known about the inner workings of Azrael's world.

Other: Azrael sometimes travels on this dimension as an Alicorn with red eyes. He has great knowledge, and works as a great scholar, writer, philosopher, and teacher of Equestria. He lives alone in a remote area of Equestria.
