Background: Trance comes from a line of musicians. At first he wanted to become a composer, a techno-trance composer and DJ. While he tried and tried to learn music, he couldn't. His parents urged him to try something else, they didn't force him to be a musician nor did they want him to try too hard to become one. He achieved good grades during his final years as a student.
Trance learned how to fly late in comparison to most of the other pegasi. He learned shortly after graduation. He never went to flight school so his flying is still quite weak. Growing up he also wasn't very athletic. He decided early in his life that flying wasn't important. He cared more about science and arts. He still couldn't make music so he gave up and decided to leave it to the pros and just listen to it.
Trance recieved his mark when he learned he could fix people's problems via hypno-therapy. He learned this because he always liked magic, it seemed like a fantasy. He knew since he was a pegasus he couldn't make magic. But he tried the next best thing: Hypnosis. He doesn't use magic at all for hypnosis. He doesn't command people to sleep and wake up with a snap. He always does it for stress release and to take his patients on a soothing, dreamlike ride.
Trance followed his scientific nature and became an inventor. He works at a hypno-therapy office in Ponyville. He invents things during his free time. Most of his inventions are things that could be used to help around the farms and forests. Trance wants to make things more automatic so it's more accessible and reliable than manual work. But recently his inventions always seem backfire.
Personality: Loyal and Generous. Being an inventor, he barely finds time to have fun and get out of the house. He still manages to listen to loud music (especially when he's an inventor), his favorite being techno, trance or rave. When he isn't working or inventing he is pretty outgoing and friendly. While working on inventions he puts up almost an alternate personality, being stressed out all the time and having many other "mad scientist" like qualities. He also hates to be disturbed while working on something new.
