kidutsu, I choose you! (Contest)

On today's showing of Derpin' Thursday, user @Tea Rex suggested that I sing the Pokemon theme song as Fluttershy, which spawned discussion of Fluttershy as a Pokemon trainer.

Later in the show, during Letters to Celestia, I (DJ Sage) exclaimed in Fluttershy's voice, "kidutsu, I choose you!" -- which then spawned discussion of kidutsu as Flutters' starter Pokemon.

So, this contest was born!

To the person who draws or creates the best image of Fluttershy with her starter Pokemon, kidutsu, the wonderful user @Epona will buy you a smiley for use on the forum.

Bonus points if you provide kidutsu's evolutions, his type (Fire, Water, Grass), and/or a moveset.

The deadline will be Thursday, October 4, 2012 by the time the show airs (6PM CST)!

Oh how I wished I could draw a bit, then at least those 13 years of playing pokémon would come in handy just this once.

For whoever is in this contest, i recommend making kidutsu a duotype like they used in generation 4 and 5. ( diamond and pearl/black and white ) This way you can make a pretty basic movepool like:

1. stealth rocks
2. flame charge
3. rock throw
4. sing ( ye i putted this move here regardless from his type, since it suits the situation. )

This is going on from the fact he'd be a fire/rock type which wouldn't surprise me coming in gen 6/7 since fire/fighting has been in both gen 4 and gen 5.

Unless you're going to use non existing moves then feel free to come up with your own.

It'll be interesting to see the entries.

mmmh kidsutu sounds like he would be the fire/fighting starting pokémon tepig with evolutions of pignite (level 17) and emboar (level 36)



i'd say his movepool would be:

i chose this particular moveset since it both suits his perosnality (for as far as i've heard) and still would make capable of doing strong attacks with a substitute on (all these moves are moves tepig and it's evolutions can learn naturally or by tm) i'd give him max speed ev's and invest the res tof the ev points in health and special defense.
