Background:
Young Adult Earth Stallion, socially insecure and tries to balance his inability with friendships by being someone important, notably a member of the Royal Guard. He joined up, wanting to be more than just another nopony, and dutifully serves.
Personality:
Scotch is a shy one. He rarely made friends and was teased as a colt, mostly for his "sissy" name unbefitting of a Stallion, or his glasses. So whenever he meets new Ponies he introduces himself as Scotch in order to sound more like a Stallion. These days most of his friends (which still remains a small number) are other members of the Royal Guard. When on duty Scotch has a stoic, solid demeanor. He rarely lets himself show emotion when in armor, and when on his off time he lets out all of his emotion into his writings, his stories, his books. It takes a long time for Scotch to trust. He feels the world is an unforgiving place if you let your guard down. He's been hurt before and his positive outlook has suffered because of that.
Cutie Mark: Parchment lined with Butterscotch candies along one side. Signifies a talent for the written arts as well as an affinity for Butterscotch.
