It was bright, shinning afternoon in Ponyville as Time Turner walked along through the market. Things so far, to an extent, had gone well for the colt since he 'dropped into town' and he was enjoying the chance to finally get outside. That was until he passed an apple cart...

Time Turner galloped away as fast as he could, taking extra care that the filly wasn't following him. The ponies are MAD here! he thought, impressive saleponies, but mad nonetheless. ...Or was it just me?

Slowing down to a trot, Turner sighed as he found a quite bench to think things over. He was not exactly proud of how he acted back there. In any normal situation, he would have found the ambitious little mare to be quite adorable. Now he may have made her the laughing-stock of the entire market!

He grumbled at himself for not being more polite. Granted, ever since he had left in his rush from home, Time Turner-

"No"

The colt spoke clearly, caring little for hiding his accent with the local dialect.

"That's not who I am, that's just a mask for now."

He stared up into the blue sky.

"I didn't leave my home, my family, my LIFE to hide away from apple vendors. No! I wanted to travel the world to experience all of it's wonders and mysteries! For I am a pony like no other. I am a Time Lord of Gallopfrey. I am...

Ipzy flew silently through the Everfree Forest, only a couple feet off the ground. It was late at night and there was nopony around for miles, he made absolutely sure that nopony knew he was here. But he was still new in town, so its not like anypony knew him or was keeping an eye out for him. But thats why he was here: to change all that.

Ipzy landed in a clearing in front of large cave. He placed a sack on the ground and breathed, preparing himself. "Let's do this," he said as he rubs his hooves together, a smile on his face.

He picks the sack back up again and disappears into the pitch black of the cave.

The Doctor made his way back to market, determined to face his fears and show that he had what it took to be a real explorer! Naturally the warm spirt and vigor of the ponies shopping made him feel that much more at comfort with his new surroundings. Scanning the area, the Doctor noticed that a band had formed in the market's center and was preparing their instruments.

"Oi!" he remarked with a chuckle, "I could do with a little music!"

Without a second thought, he strolled over to find the dance floor.

It had been a while since Langston had enjoyed going to town on a fine summer's day. On a whim, he had decided to go find something to munch on, as he had skipped breakfast earlier that day. Despite the sun beating down, he still took the time before leaving to wrap his scarf about his neck, forgoing his usual jacket.

He yawns as he enters town, taking the small stroll between his secluded home and Ponyville in a brisk trot.

"Righty, then, where shall I start..."

Stix was doing his shopping for the day. Living alone, he enjoyed going to the market and picking up whatever he felt like eating for the day. It was almost like an adventure, though an a very small scale. Still, it's not like his life had much excitement in it, and this was as close as he was willing to get to anything particularly thrilling.

It wasn't long before he made it to the market place. He began to hear some music. Oh that's a little different. This could be interesting. He aimlesslesly walks towards the source of the music and stops just outside of a line of ponies blocking his advance. He wasn't a very assertive pony and so he sighs to himself and resolves to looking through the gaps in the crowd.

Brightly humming a tune that gave rhythm to her trot, Chickadee slips into the marketplace, two faded, teal saddlebags draped neatly across her shoulders and back. Her dark brown mane and tail bounce and swish with her movements, smiling, chocolate eyes completing the visage of the cheery, cream-colored pegasus. She loves days like this! Going to the marketplace to purchase food and other necessities is one of her favorite chores! Half-focused on her surroundings, Chickadee rummages through one of her saddlebags to find a small, folded piece of parchment, glancing it over carefully as she ceased humming and began mumbling to herself...

"Hmm, let's see...I need...apples, pears, carrots, and daisies...What else..."

Halfway through scanning the list, Chickadee's ears perk up at the sudden medley of beautiful sounds in the center of the marketplace. She glances up, startled out of the world inside her mind and back into the one of dirt, dust, and earth. Is that music? Spotting a growing throng of ponies, Chickadee cautiously and curiously approaches, absentmindedly placing her list back in the saddlebag. Ponyville does not usually have music on marketplace day... Is there a special holiday she lost track of? It very well could be. Her mind grumbles, chastising herself privately for not keeping better track of the events of the town.

Chickadee gradually manages to squeeze through the crowd, nearing the front of an old-fashioned, makeshift dance floor of creaky wood planks, where a small band in matching ensemble plays beautiful, folksy tunes, and a couple of mares and stallions dance merrily. Some in the crowd stomp their hooves to the beat of the the music; a few laugh heartily, whistling and cheering for those who choose to dance.

A ferocious blush of glee paints Chickadee's little cheeks, the airy, lively curls of her mane tickling her upper jaw. Dancing and music! How wonderful! A large portion of Chickadee's mind has her leaping onto the dance floor to try her hoof at improving her folk dances. However, her hooves stay firmly planted as she glances away shyly. She...well, she does not know any of the ponies on the currently dancing, and... Well, I don't have a partner...

Pipsqueak smiled as he trotted through the marketplace. He held a small pouch that his parents gave him in his mouth. Inside were a few bits that he could use to purchase some sweets, a toy, maybe some cider. Hmm! What should I get? A Cupcake? A muffin? He said with his voice altered slightly by the pouch hanging from his mouth. His smile grew wider. Oh! There's just so much to choose from. His short trot came to a halt as the sound of music entered his ears. Hmm? What's that? Pipsqueak wasn't usually allowed to leave home by himself so he usually just went out to purchase what he wanted and go home immediately after. He's never heard a REAL band play music before. The only music he's come to know are the few lullabies that his mother sang to him as a newborn.

I... SHOULD just go get a cupcake... He said nervously. Who knows what kind of pony would want to take me away? He shuddered at the thought. Without realizing it, his hooves slightly tapped to the music. He giggled. What's this? Why do I feel so happy? He turned his head towards the source of the sounds. ...Maybe it wouldn't hurt to just check... right? He slowly began to trot towards the center of the marketplace. Come on! I'm an adventurer! He smirked as he quickly flicked the pouch of bits onto his back, his short mane covering it just barely.

The sun was shining clearly through the trees of the Everfree Forest. The white pegasus, Ipzy, flew smoothly between the trunks of the trees, obviously happy in his task. He wasn't carrying a sack this time, but was instead holding a small ceramic jar between his front hooves. Ipzy stops just outside the boundry of the forest, landing and standing on his rear hooves, using his wings for balance.

He turns around, and looks back into the forrest. This would be it, after this he's committing himself to this. He stood and breathed, contemplating, feeling the wind and enjoying the moment. Bam! He brought the jar down, smashing it on the ground, a dark liquid spilling out. He fell back onto all fours and turned toward the forest.

After a few seconds a loud roar is heard, coming out from somewhere deep in the forest. A serious of thunks emenate from the area, getting closer and closer. A flock of birds take flight in the panic.

Good, everything's going just as planned.

Ipzy turned around and took off, flying towards the still oblivious town of Ponyville. It wouldn't be long before the next phase of his plan, and he was smilling with the excitement.

The music excited the Doctor's ears as he listened to the tan pony sing away over his guitar. It was long soon after that the Doctor was swinging a swaying to the music. By the time of the second song he was caught up with himself in the center of the dance floor. He had never heard such music before back in Gallopfrey! It was energetic, it was exhilarating, it was... absolutely FANTASTIC! The Doctor wanted to live his new life like this music made him feel with every passing day.

Now this is more like it! Not a fear in the world and especially no little fillies trying to force me to buy the local produce. Nothing can get better than this! Gah, I feel fantastic! I- I- need to share this moment with someone.

The Doctor quickly scanned the area for any available dance partners and noticed a pegasus with a brown mane. Judging by the look on her face she was also searching for someone to tango with. With a smile the Doctor quickly galloped over happily to fill the spot. As he approached he did the best he could to ask out over the crowd, "'ello! I'm the- *ahem* I'm Time Turner! Care to dance?"

GAH! Almost forgot about my accent. I really need to learn to not let on who I am, no telling if the others are still after me.

Moments of staring at the riveting specks of dirt on the ground pass her by, the sounds of the music and the voices of merry ponies blurring together in a foggy medley. If only she was not so painfully shy about this sort of thing. What harm could it possibly do to ask the pony next to her for a turn on the dance floor? None, she reasons, yet still stands stationary, chocolate-tipped wings tucked meekly at her sides.

Just as a frown readied itself to gloss across her face, Chickadee finds her mind jostled as a brown stallion abruptly dashes before her, voice raised above the crowd. His voice of unconcealed delight rings clear as a bell of crystal in her ears, parting the sea of the soup of sound sloshing incoherently in her brain. Instantly reacting with a jerk of her head, her eyes widen, startled, surprised, and somewhat flabbergasted not so much by his request, but by the fact that it was she of whom he was requesting a dance. Her eyes dart up to meet his smiling face, eager to include her in his joyful reverie. This stallion...he is a complete stranger to her, and yet, he finds enough boldness to ask another stranger to join in gleeful galloping. Appreciative of the gesture, Chickadee scrambles to gather the words required for a response in her mind and on her tongue, stammering slightly as she replies.

Time Turner, was it? Oh goodness, that is what he said his name was just now? Oh dear oh dear-

"Oh! Oh...I, um...Yes! Yes, yes of course! That, that would be lovely," Chickadee starts, cheeks flushing once more the pink of spring tulips, freshly blooming from a well-kept garden, "T-thank you for asking!" Taking a step towards him, her hoof finally touching a creaky edge of the dance floor, she smiles bashfully to the Doctor, struggling to keep her enthusiasm and delight in check with a sense of reasonable poise; Chickadee is not just ready to embarrass herself yet! Grinning cutely, she suddenly remembers as an afterthought that she ought introduce herself to this kind, outgoing stallion, "I'm Chickadee, by the way," Remarks the pegasus, wings slightly spreading as she struggles to ease her nervous demeanor...

Pipsqueak struggled to see where the sounds were coming from. Aww... Come on- I wanna see! He began to grow impatient as the older ponies blocked his path. Pipsqueak tried to hop upwards. The amount of air he could get was... quite pathetic. I hate being little... There's gotta be a way to get over there... His eyes locked onto a bench near the back of the crowd. He looked back towards the source of the music, noticing that the crowd of ponies grew more dense. Do I really want to...? He trotted over to the bench and climbed on top of it. This is gonna go really bad... He shook the uneasiness that came over him and climbed onto the back of the bench. He scanned the crowd to see what would be the best option.

Come on Pip... you can do this. He took a deep breath as he jumped onto the back of a stallion who was also stuck outside of the crowd. S-Sorry! He hopped off his back onto another stallion's. My bad! His small body wasn't TOO noticeable to those who he used as stepping stones. They either shook it off or gave him an irritated glare. Oops! He knew he had to keep moving or el- AGH!!! Without paying attention he dropped to the floor. His eyes open wide as he notices his bag drop at the hooves of a light brown stallion. NO! He turned around and noticed the crowd dancing just inches away from him. Pipsqueak was at the center of the crowd. He galloped towards the bag and skidded to a stop as he tried not to bump into anypony. He tried to reach for the bag, but he didn't want to get into anymore trouble than he could already be in. He once again looked back as he saw the crowd compress itself even more.

Help! He screamed out in absolute terror. He didn't know why he needed help or who would even hear him. He lied on the ground, covering his head with his forelegs. He used much of his energy to hold his tears back and the rest to tell himself that everything was going to be alright. I shouldn't have come here... I should've just gotten a cupcake and gone home!

"@Chickadee? What a fantastic name!" The Doctor smiled to his flustered dance partner. "Why I once knew this lovely lady a while back who was just as lovely as you are. Her name was Susan and boy is she brilliant! Simply brilliant I tell you. (Still can't believe we came from the same the family.) Know what I mean? It was just-" Suddenly there was an odd yelp from behind him. The Doctor scanned the area with a careful eye, "Did you hear that?"

"There it was again!" The Doctor yelped as dashed through the crowd trying to find the source of the voice, "Do you see where it's coming from?"

Inky watched the dancing, enjoying the music and wondering if she should join in... She shook her her head, instead deciding to get closer to the musicians. She trotted around the dancing ponies, making sure to stay out of their path. She sat, watching the other ponies play their instruments. She used a little magic to pull her pen and notebook out of her saddlebags. She sat a little ways away, watching the dance... She picked up her pen, jotting a few quick descriptions of the dancers and the musicians. She stopped as she heard a faint call... She looked up, hearing it again.

She stood, picking up her book and pen, looking around for whoever had called out... It had sounded like it had come from the crowd... She trotted into the dancing ponies, dodging and dancing around, looking for whoever had called out for help. "Hello? Hello where are you? Did you need help?" She looked around, not paying attention to her hooves as she tripped, falling face first into the ground. She blinked, looking into the face of a rather small colt, "hello there... have you seen a notebook and pen?"

((I'm using blue because there's enough white going on in here, and that's the color of Inky's mane.))

The music seemed to stop for a moment. And in that moment, Stix looked about and saw the crowd, mapping it in his mind. The squeaky sound of a small colt calling for help crystal clear. His head immediately flicked around, looking directly towards the pony hidden in the crowd. Stix breathed slowly before leaving the crowd and walking around the circumference. He gets as close as he can before he stops and sees the light grey pony fall over. Watching for a moment, he sees no physical damage, and then starts to snicker. "I guess those ponies don't seriously need my help." he surprises himself by saying out loud, then with a slight degree of embarrassment speaks inwardly, but I'll still watch them, in case something happens. It's not like I can see either the dancing or the band anyway, but I can hear them just as well from here as anywhere else.

Ipzy swoops in quickly, landing next to a building on the outskirts of the town. Nopony was around to see him, they were all at the market today, and even if there were any arround Ipzy figurered that they wouldn't suspect him of anything. Even so, he landed and moved quickly, looking fairly suspicious. Ipzy then does his best to look casual, and begins walking towards the market area of the town.

As he gets closer to the center of the town he begins to hear some jolly music. His ears perk up and he listens, a smile slowly growing across his face. By the time he can see the crowd he was in a truly good mood, his head bobbing to the rhythm of the music. He flew up as he got closer, having a good look at the crowd. He almost began to feel bad for what he was about to do, even considering not going through with the plan. But then the cry of a pony calling for help snapped him out of his trance. Are they on to me?! His mind racing, heart beating, he quickly drops and flies straight to a gap between two houses. He waits at the corner, looking around to see if anypony was coming for him.

When no one seemed to be moving in his direction, he breathed a sigh of relief and his mind continued. It's not like anypony here could know of my plan. There's no way any of them would be after me.

Standing still he takes a couple of deep breaths before turning around and walking away. After only a couple of minutes he finds his way to where he would enact the next step in his plan. He grinned deviously, looking at a large ceramic pot sitting heavily on the ground.

An ear twitching, Chickadee's shy smile quickly drops into a frown of concern. No, she hadn't heard the cry the first time. However, as the mare attunes her ears to the sounds around her, trying hard to focus, she suddenly hears-

Her neck swivels about in alarm, eyes abruptly widening with worry. It was the voice of a small colt! Frantically scanning the crowd with her eyes, she looks about everywhere for the figure of a small pony, beads of sweat forming on her forehead as time progresses quickly. Time is of the essence, and every second seems both slow and rapid, adorned with great gravity and import. The mare steps forward, entire body tensing erect and alert on the search for the young colt. Her tail whips from side to side nervously, heart palpitating through her chest. Where...where...where-

A brown and cream mass, quivering on the dance floor amidst a plethora of threateningly pounding hooves of obliviousness, whimpering in distress-

"There!"

Forgetting herself and her timidity, Chickadee spreads her wings and dives forward, nearly knocking over The Doctor in her haste. Her hooves loudly and obnoxiously clatter against the wood as she scrambles towards Pip, vision tunneling upon him in an exacerbating sense of urgency. She pushes past various pairs of dancers abruptly, distractedly squeaking apologies in various forms whilst never taking her eyes from the cowering little colt, ignoring their muttering and huffs of protest. They are not important right now.

However, the mare that lay next to him, who, in her haste, Chickadee neglected to see, is. For just as the cream-colored pegasus was about to drop forward to grab Pip with her mouth, her front left hoof collides with Inky's neck, sending her flying into the little colt with a startled gasp.

Reflexively, she cranes her neck forward, grabbing the scruff of Pip's neck with her tightly pierced lips before snatching him up with her hooves, pressing his body close to her stomach as she curls into a protective ball. Chickadee snaps her wings shut, slamming into the dance floor with a sickeningly loud thud as she involuntarily rolls across it, shrieking in alarm. Her eyes tightly shut, and she squeezes Pip against her with fright as she only picks up speed, heading straight for the band and its array of instruments....

"YeeeeeEEEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHG GGGG-"

"UGH! So much noise! The ground is throbbing and causing my head to hurt. I have to leave!" Whim had been standing at his cart in the marketplace all morning, even after the band had arrived and everyone started dancing. His ground perception, even dulled down as far as he could go was driving him nuts. All of the hoof beats on the ground, and especially those on the dance floor were pounding in his head like a big drum. The dance floor was the worst because it was amplifying the vibrations and driving them straight into the ground. "I'm leaving now, can't take it anymore," Whim says to the air because everyone was partying with the band. He packs up all of his things and closes up his half full cart. I'll take a walk along the edge of Everfree forest to clear my head, then I'll head home.

As Whim was preparing to leave, he heard yelling behind him. He turned just in time to see a pegasus drive through a bunch of ponies and trip. He traced the pegasus's path and realized if he (or she) didn't stop, he would run straight into the band! I'm well within range. Whim dug into the ground and extended his magic in front of the band creating a ramp to attempt to direct the pegasus off toward the open space directly beside them. Because of the crowd, he couldn't see what happened, but didn't want to stay and find out. He turned and walked off toward the forest.

Ipzy flaps his wings a couple of times, floating up to the rim of the pot. Grinning, he moves forward and pushes it, testing its weight. He laughs quietly to himself, flapping his wings as he floats slowly backwards.

He breaths a couple times, prepping his wings. Suddenly he jolts forward! Slamming his front hooves into the lid of the pot! Slowly it wobbles forward, and then leans backward. When it does so, Ipzy gives it a quick push, and it topples forwards, spilling its smelly fluids all over the ground. Ipzy quickly zips upwards, well above the tops of the houses. Looking around, he waits with ears perked, listening for the sound that would mean his plan was successful.

Sure enough though, moments later a thundering roar can be heard all throughout the entire town of Ponyville. The ground shakes as a huge Ursa Minor comes charging out of the Everfree Forrest, heading straight for the town.

Ipzy grins, flies back down and disappears amongst the buildings.

Flitter was dancing among the crowd really having a good time as the music was quite good. She was casually dancing, she wasn't the BEST dancer but she could do a few things, reminds her of the time she tried to dance at the talent show when she was younger. This is fun! I could this all day, plus it's a great way to meet some local pony folk...if I can talk to any that is.

She flew up doing a little aerial dancing above the crowd as she infected some of the pegasus in the crowd and got a few of they mid air dancing with her. Flitter was a bit surprised she was such a hit, she smiled and kept dancing in air a bit then landed doing a bit of air and ground dancing like crazy. Why am I dancing this good? I've never done this! It feels amazing! She felt excited she started showing off a bit dancing above her usual level of dancing skill she never knew she possessed. "Wahoo! This is the most fun I've ever had! C'mon everypony, let's get down!" The band saw her stand out in the crowd dancing and changed their music to match her style of what Flitter's excited mood. She picked up on the music and kept dancing to the beat and the rhythm it produced, she had become the center of attention without knowing it as she kept up with her dance moves.

Whim was almost at the tree line when a large roar erupted from the forest. The ground beneath his feet was trembling at the steps of a giant... something. They were getting closer as well. Without a seconds hesitation he ran to the house line and linked himself into the ground. Whatever was coming had to get through him first. He waited scanning the tree line for the appearance of the great beast. Then he saw it...

It was absolutely gigantic, it was as big if not bigger than the hydra he had turned away before. But unlike then, this great bear looked like it was dead set on getting to Ponyville. His pelt was that of the majestic night sky, littered with constellations, but one of those constellations stood out more than all the rest, and he now knew his enemy. An Ursa Minor. "You're one big brute, but you won't get by so easily!" Whim went on the defensive, closing his eyes and concentrating on the ground in front of the giant beast. By shifting the ground and separating it into fine particles, he made a small sandbar right under where the Ursa was going to step. The Ursa Minor slipped because of the sudden change in texture of the ground. The forward momentum it had drove it into a forward roll headed straight for the town. "I can't stop that... but I'll try!" Whim closes his eyes and drove a wall of dirt up as high as he could. I have no idea if this will hold, at the speed I built it, it won't last more than one impact at the most. At the least it will slow him down. The Ursa Minor hits the wall and causes it fall half over, but it held and the Ursa Minor flipped over the wall and was laying on the ground in a daze from the impact. That took a lot out of me, I don't know if I can keep this up, Whim realized with a sense of urgency as he started panting from the exertion. He yelled for help.

"SOMEONE, ANYONE, HELP! WE'RE UNDER ATTACK BY AN URSA MINOR," he screamed at the top of his lungs hoping that someone would hear his cry.

Flitter finished her dancing as she stopped in a final pose, panting lightly from all her wild dancing. She noticed everypony staring at her as she smiled nervously, she wasn't used to such attention as the crowd cheered for her and she became a bit more comfortable from it as she made her way into the crowd. That was...pretty awesome I suppose. As she made her way out of the dance area and to the food table for a drink of punch, she noticed the ripples in the bowl as she could feel something shake the ground, followed by a faint cry for help. "Hm? Is somepony in trouble? I wonder what that shaking was, it felt big."

She troted away towards the source of the sound and where the cry for help came from, as she rounded a corner she bumped into the Ursa Minor. She stared at it for a moment as it's eye focused on her, her eye's widened from the up close encounter with the giant beast. "AAAAAAH! Monster!" Flitter freaked and bucked the creature out of fright on it's nose, which was a bad thing as it roared at her out of anger. "Heh, I think I made it mad...bye." She ran away from the Ursa as it proceeded to follow after her out of rage when she hit it, she ran away from the festival to keep everypony out of harms way.

As she made her way through town trying to escape the Ursa Minor, she slipped in a big puddle of goop and made a splash in it. "Eeeeeeew! What is this stuff? It smells and it's...sticky." The Ursa caught up to her as she looked at the creature and freaked, she tried to fly away but she was stuck in the smelly mess. The creature grasped a hold of Flitter and pulled her free from the sticky substance and brought her up in front of it's face, glaring at her angrily and roaring loudly as the wind blew past her like a hurricane. "AAAH! Somepony help! It's gonna eat me!" She struggled to try and get free but there was no chance for her to get free by herself.

Whim pursued the beast as it chase the poor pegasus through town. When the she (judging by the bow) got stuck in some goop, he knew he had to act. As the Ursa Minor charged, Whim stopped and grounded himself again, changing the ground to sand where the bear was about to put its paws down. This time it caused him to fall face first into the ground. Why couldn't he have done that the first time! Whim sprinted as quickly as he could to reach the pegasus. "Duck down," Whim said, his face deadly serious. Whim dropped his body and used his magic to form a shell around himself and the pegasus, it had to be close to them, otherwise it wouldn't last two seconds against the Ursa Minor. Whim kept building the dome, layer by layer. From the outside, it looked like a growing turtle shell, but inside it was just a dark safe zone. He kept going until he felt it could hold off the Ursa Minor. "Thank Celestia it is only a Minor, I don't think I could have done anything against a Major," Whim said with a chuckle. He was almost at his limit. Someone had better come give us some aid soon, Whim thought to himself, not wanting to scare the pony next to him.

He turned his attention to the pegasus, not that he could really see her, but he could sense where she was from her struggling to get free of the goop. "Are you ok, ma'am?"

FLitter was surpprised by the pony that helped her as he made the Ursa go off balance, she was a bit frightened when it got dark as he put up a shield. "Uh...I'm fine just...a bit stuck at the moment." She raised a hoof only to have it recoil back in the goop. "Ugh, what is this stuff? It smells other then being sticky...and gross." she struggles freeing her wings as she flies up trying to pull herself out, only to get pulled back donw in the mess, more stuck then she was. "Ah horse feathers, can you help me get out please?" She asks the random pony ho helped her, though she couldn't see him as much as her hoof in front of her face, not that she could.

Whim thought for a moment. "Stand very still, please." Whim pierced several holes in the goop using the ground underneath it, then spread it and broke apart the the goop. "Well, your not stuck to the ground anymore... but I can't do anything about the stuff on you. My magic can't do it."

*Bang, Bang, BANG* "Great, our friend woke up. We are safe here. I'm sorry for the conditions, I didn't have much choice in how I did this. Hopefully someone will show up soon to distract the Ursa Minor. Only then can I take down this barrier."

Flitter stood up from the spot he cleared for her, her wings were stuck to her sides as she tried to unfurl them. "That's ok, as long as I can move, but I'm afraid I can't fly. This stuff has stuck my wings to my sides...ung!" She strained to open her wings but they wouldn't respond, she sighed and stopped seeing it was getting her no where. "Thanks for helping me, I hope your shield holds til help arrives. Not much else we can do but wait, my name's Flitter by the way uh...where ever you are." She said still blinded by the darkness inside the magic shield, she stood still in place so not to get stuck back in the sticky goop.

"I'm to your left, and my name is Whim. This barrier will hold. I made it extra thick. I'm more worried about food and water at this point," Whim tried to joke. He was sensing the Ursa pacing around outside, trying to figure out how to get in. He wasn't going to though. They were safe.

"So, it seems we have some time to kill, ma'am. What do you do here in Ponyville?"

*Bang, bang, BANG* Whim double-checks the barrier, it holds. And he turns his attention back to his fellow cell mate.

Flitter cringes from the banging sounds, even if the barrier is holding she fears what would happen if it got through seeing as it chased her just moments ago, feeling she's it's target more then likely from when she hit it. She huddles against Whim as she was still scared even if they were protected inside a barrier. "I-I...I help with the weather from time to time. I came from Cloudsdale now living here in town...w-with my sister." She stammers out looking all around the darkness, she felt as if she was in some kind of horror movie. It keeps circling us, like we're it's prey. Oooh somepony please help us!

"That's a really cool job," Whim says with excitement in his voice. "All I do is move rocks all day. I'm a rock farmer here, but as you can see, I have a slight advantage over most. I try not to use it though, earth pony ways are so fascinating, I love to work the ground by hoof." He feels the poor mare trembling against his side, so he sits down and brings her close. "Don't be afraid, we are safe. I promise," Whim said, trying to comfort her. "Tell me a little about your sister."

*BANG* The Ursa Minor pounced on the dome this time. It gave a little and some cracks formed. "One sec, actually." Whim repaired the cracks and put another couple layers on the dome. Smart pain in the flank, he must really be after what is in here to go to that length. I wonder why he wants her so bad? I hurt him and he didn't even look twice at me... I have to keep her safe, I can worry about reasons after that. Whim went back to talking to Flitter, "Ok, sorry about that. So, whats your sister's name? Is she a weather pony as well?"

FLitter gasped slightly as the beast jumped on the dome hearing cracks, she huddled as close as she could to Whim to try and feel safe as she took a deep breath to try and calm herself down. "W-well...m-my sister is called Cloudchaser. You can imagine the obvious question she gets constantly from others because of her name. She giggled a little, but nervously as she was still frightened. "She's awesome! And yeah she also helps with the weather. I like doing her hair for her, it's really easy as I do both our manes. She thinks I should have a cutie mark that has to do with being a mane stylist instead of three dragonfly's. We get along well, except..when it comes..to stallions." She rubbed the back of her head thinking of those memories.

(( some or a lot of what is written happens before the current time. Because you two posted so much I haven't had a proper opportunity to post. Also, I'd like to point out the Everfree Forest isn't immediately next to the town. It would have taken longer for the Ursa to actually make it to town, and nopony would have been within earshot of Whim when he cried for help. By immediately skipping forward to the Ursa encounter you've skipped over a lot of possibly interesting suspense and story. But what's done is done... ))

Stix turned around at the cry of the Ursa Minor. His ears and head dart wildly around as he tries to pinpoint the direction it came from. The echoes of the cry distract him too much and he's unable to narrow it down. He then breathes, closing his eyes in thought. That was a very unusual sound. It's not every day you hear something like that. It sounds like it might be something big and dangerous. I wonder what it was and where it is. Now, how would I find out... I know! Let's get a better view point, I might be able to see it. I should try to get higher.

His head quickly darts around, analysing various objects, buildings, and even ponies for their usefulness. He spots some pegasi in the croud and considers asking them to fly him higher so he could have a look around. Quickly though, his shyness gets the better of him and he dismisses the idea in its entirety. His eyes continue to dart around, till he spots a tall two story building not too far away. Without a second thought he runs towards it, charging in through the door and running straight up the stairs.

Stix leaps up the stairs, quickly looking around as he lands. He heads straight for the nearest window and looks out of it. He looks over the rooftops, scanning the horizon and skyline for anything large and menacing. Eventually he stops looking and leans out of the window, peering forward. In the distance past some hilltops he spies the Ursa Minor as it comes charging forward, almost directly towards him. Stix instinctively recoils back inside the house, cowering a little.

After some time sitting there stunned, Stix hears the loud sounds of the Ursa roaring nearby, slamming the ground. Stix quickly runs down the stairs and outside. Past some buildings he finds the Ursa pounding away at what looked like a pile of rock. The confused Stix stands there, watching, not knowing what to make of the scene in front of him.
