"Never really been to a party. I'm too socially inept to go out and talk to people. I'm usually the entertainment, that way I can just chill behind my drum set." Red told them, looking around the room. So, eh, what do you guys do at parties?"
Ferrarity smiles and nods to Charlie. "Sure! Things should be starting right about now." She looks to Red and giggles. "Well, it's usually about drinking, being a bit social with others and some dancing. Just try not to get spun off your flank and don't touch any un-labeled bottles."
"Never! Can't stress that enough." She scanned the skies, seeing that the sun was setting and the moon would soon rise giving the cue to start the parties. "We should be hearing some music here soon, unless one of us knows where to go then we should start following the sound." Charlie looked back at her new friends wondering if they know the way.
As the sky turned a deep, red crimson as the sun was lowered, more ponies seemed to stream out onto the street. They all seemed to he heading in the same direction, towards Fraternity Row. The PEG Fraternity seemed to be holding its annual "Induction Dinner" a week early... Granted, it wasn't much of a dinner as much as it was a wild party. The sponsoring faculty member was rarely found near there, or they just blend into the crown, losing all authority. Music was starting to thump, audible for about half a block already, as if beckoning more ponies to join in on the debachary.
He took off flying to the nearby tree line. Carelessly crashing through the canopy into the growth below. He landed on all fours with a powerful thud, sending a jarring sensation through his body. He was tired, and angry. He managed to make his way to the mirror like surface of a nearby lake, which looked untouched by the campus nearby, the water was crystal clear. His eyes looked tired and wider then usual, leaves littered his fur and mane, which was now a dark grey color from the explosion. He sat there, staring at his reflection.
It started to..... Talk to him. "Look at you." It said, not sure if it was trying to be kind or hurtful. "They treat you like shit, break your nose, and SOMEHOW your the monster. Their not your friends." The image continued. "You have no place here, you never did. Your better off taking your own pathetic excuse of a life....." Blackwing punched the image, not sure what he would accomplish. The image rippled away. He backed away from the lake, resting his head against the base of a tree. "I know.... I know what I'll do." He said, talking to himself. "I'll show them... Teach them.... That I'm not some pushover..." He sad, laughing to himself as he got up. "They will know... Ill kidnap one of them. Oh YES. I don't know who, but oh BOY is this going to be fun!" He said, brushing the leaves out of fur and mane. "I can't go looking like this, oh no. They can't know I've gone batty." He dove into the lake to clean himself up, scrubbing the dirt away, managing his mane. "Act normal, look normal, that's what I need to do. Yes..." He climbed out of the water, gathered some interesting looking berries as leaves, shaking off the water. He got himself as dry as possible, then took off into the sky to finish the job. He started to fly in the direction of his dorm, if he was going to pull this off, he was going to need a few more things.
Ferrarity tapped her chin as she thought about what to do to find a party, the sound of music making her ears perk she grins. "I think we've found one, can ya hear it?" She nods her head in rhythm with the faint music and taps a hoof on the ground. "This sounds like a big one if the music reaches us over here. I think it'll be perfect!"
"Ah, good. I would've liked it better if I was the entertainment. I don't really care for electronic music unless it's done right, or a part of a metal song." Red commented, before looking to where the music was coming from. "I suppose we should find this party, eh?"
"Yes! Finally!" Charlie leaped happily, "Lets go lets go!" she said eagerly as she pulled Red and Ferrarity along.
Ferrarity giggled at Charlie's eagerness and obliged it as she turned the tables on her and took a hold of the mares. "Hang on girls, we'll be there in the blink of an eye!" She sped off like greased lightning with Red and Charlie in tow, stopping just outside the building where the party was going on at, seeing quite a gathering of ponies making there way inside. "We're here!"
Speeding through the sky to dry off the last little bits that were damp, he quickly reached his dorm-room window. He crept in through the still open window quietly, not wanting to inform anyone who might be nearby of his presence. The thumping of a heavy base could be felt throught the dorm. A party.... fantastic. This makes things easier.... and i can have some fun. Quietly, he walked over to his bookshelf and selected a book on basic portions, and found one of the few unbroken vials that he had left. He skimmed the pages quickly, before slamming his hoof down onto the desired page. "Sleep potion, just what I need..." he mumbled to himself as he laid out the barries that he had collected out in the woods. Cross-checkig the ingrediants with what he had gathered with the ones required in the book, he was missing a few ingredients, but he would have to make do. Having never been fantastic al alchemy, he hoped that his experience with the use of chemicals in rockets would prove to be enough background. Blackwing was more or less right, it took him multiple attempts to match the picture. The finished product was a clear, odorless liquid. He smiled, quite triumphant of his success.
He sauntered over to his closet, reaching to the back for his suit, slipping it on. He walked in time with the music over to the mirror, checking to make sure his mane looked tame and his tie was straight. He tucked the vial snugly into his suit pocket for safekeeping. Once he was contet with his appearance, he headed out the door into the hallway and started following the sound of music, a smug smile across his face.
Silver said nothing, just laying there on the bed, not making eye contact, finding it hard not to worry about all of it.
Fairly bass-heavy, dance music played as they got closer and walked in, fading as ponies with drinks in hoof or in magic laughed and smiled as the dancing slowed, the song changing to something more suited to the background of a good conversation, but still danceable. As the music opened with a pretty abrupt metal guitar, the DJ put a few settings as they should be, using her magic to have another song play right after. She placed her dark green glasses on the turntable with her green magic aura, and stepped out, heading first to the door and the group that had just walked in,
"Hey!" the charcoal grey mare said over the roaring conversations, her dark blue hair slightly frazzled, "I'm Stella, kinda running the party here it seems. Help yourself! There's not much supervision," another group of larger stallions came barreling down jovially, obviously making a beeline for Stella, "Anyway, lemme know if you have any requests, if you can find me!" She was able to say quickly before she was swept away by the stallions, seemingly disappearing into the college crowd right after.

Arpeggio sighed a bit... then pulled the grey pegasus into a hug. "Hey... it'll be okay, hon. I don't know what's gotten into Blackie but I'm sure we can help him... do you have any idea what's with this... split personality or whatever that was?"
As he was walking through the hallway, he herd Arpeggio and Silvers distorted voices through the door as he passed their room. He pressed his ear against the door to eavesdrop on their conversation. He snickered to himself lightly, thinking on his next course of action, he burst through the door loudly. "Now who said anything about multiple personalities?" He asked in a cool manner, leaning on the door-frame, checking his hoof, a smug, sane smile on his face.
Arpi yelped in surprise and kicked at the door when Blackwing burst through, just barely stopping himself from bucking the black pegasus in the jaw. "...D-Damnation, Blackwing, don't DO that!" As it was, he was eyeing the other pegasus warily. "...What's gotten into you, anyway? And yes, I say 'multiple personalities' because the Blackwing I know isn't a psychotic raving lunatic."
Silver jumped a bit as Black Wing burst through the door, not expecting it. But as the two talked, Silver stayed silent, watching Blackie apprehensively because he knew that something was up.
"Raving? Im not raving, not yet anyway. I was planning on getting THAT accomplished down at the party." He said, pumping his hoof into the air mockingly. He looked over at Arpeggio, who was giving his a strange look. "Jeeze, if anyone should be eyeing anyone in this room, it should be me to you. I didnt break your damn nose. Not only that, but im pretty sure there is only TWO personalities in this room at the moment, one being my happy one, and the one where you don't seem much like in the mood to attend a party, lighten up!" He said, punching his friend playfully again. "Look at me, im PRETTY sure I look fine, for the time being anyway, until the unlabeled cups show up...." He said flashing a joking smile.
He looked over at Silver, walking the few steps so he was in front of him. "And you, I DO believe I owe YOU an apology!" He said in an earnest, eagerly happy, almost forced tone. "No hard feelings right friend?" He said, flashing a smile, extending his hoof to his friend.
Ferrarity was already into the music feeling the need to dance with it, though before she could she smiled to Stella and nodded that she got the message, turning to the other two. "She seemed nice! And I think this song is something you'd be into, Red!" She shouted to make herself heard over the music. "I think I'm going to do some dancing, join me if you feel like it girls, WHOO!" She started dancing and was actually able to keep up with the fast pace of the song that played.
Arpeggio didn't seem convinced. He just glanced over Blackwing, before saying "You know I'm not a partier. High school wasn't that long ago, after all." He glanced at Silver, seeming very unsure about the whole thing.
"Splendid!" Blackwing exclaimed, shaking Silvers hoof enthusiastically. He turned to face Arpeggio."Nearly three years! That's enough time for people to change!" He said excitedly, throwing his front hooves into the air I'm exclamation. "It's supposed to be like, the end all party, biggest one of the year!" He said, making up statistics off the top of his head. "I mean, what do you two gentelcolts have to lose at this point? Come on! Lets PARTY!" He said, trying to show eagerness to go.
(Sorry for going missing, got grounded Dx)
Charlie was already over at the bar having one to many, she stumbled off her stool and fell on the floor laughing. She stood back up and took another drink before swerving over to a table and sitting down. She could spot her friends on the dance floor and some to the side, a stallion took a seat beside her, "Whats a mare like you sitting alone at a party like this?" he smiled kindly and Charlie cheered, "Red! What are you doing here?" she asked after giving him a hug. They chatted awhile both ordering a few more drinks both getting a little tipsy.
Silver looked from the eager black colt to Arpeggio, noticing the look on his face. "You head on out Blackie... we'll catch up." Silver said, looking back at Black Wing, knowing that Arpe really wasn't comfortable with Black for some reason.
The brown pegasus exhaled slightly, relaxing a bit when he heard Silver say what he did. "Yeah... we'll catch up later. Don't feel tied to us, Blackie."
"Oh come on! You guys are no fun. Live a lil!" Blackwing said, tossing his two front hooves into the air in exclamation. "You know what? Fine, fine. You two had better be up there later, I don't think you want to imagine what will happen if you don't....." He said, walking over to the door casually. He turned back around when he got to the doorway. "Until then, I bid you, adieu." He said, closing the door behind him with force. He smiled, laughing just loud enough for his friends to hear and ran off, actually eager to get to the party.
As Black trotted off, Silver looked over at Arpi with a ':/' face, knowing how Arpi still didn't believe that the crazy pegasus was no longer a risk.
After a moment or two of contemplative silence, Silver tried to rationalize it to his stallion friend, "You know... I've heard that college is a big stresser for some ponies... maybe he's just already stressed out..." He sat for a moment longer, and looked at the door, "I... I think the least we could do is be supportive of him."
Silver then got up out of the bed, feeling a bit more secure of him self now that his old friend hadn't tried to kill him in the past few minutes, and started looking through his small 'closet' on the other end of the room.
"...I guess. Considering he tried to slice your throat with a piece of glass, though, can you blame me for being suspicious? That doesn't seem like normal stress. If we're going, you're not leaving my sight, hon. Got it?" The pegasus went through his closet to find something to wear.
Silver kindof laughed at Arpeggio's remark of being suspicious, pulling out his old white shirt-black tie-black fedora combo, "I don't blame you... but really, everypony has different ways of dealing with stress... I guess his was a bit more... dramatic." Silver said as he pulled on the shirt, and tightened the tie, buttoning up some silver cufflinks the shape of his cutie mark around the cuffs.
"I'm still not convinced... it just seems too... strange; too random. You'd think we'd notice something like that before, wouldn't you?" Arpi slipped on a charcoal-grey shirt, with no tie, and put on his white cuffs with the blue gem snaps. "Either way, something about this whole thing just rubs me the wrong way..."
"Let's just not worry about it, I'm sure he'd be fine if given time to adjust..." Silver said as he flipped the fedora onto his head unsuccessfully, then bent over to pick it up and put it on in a more traditional style. He adjusted his tie and gave a slight tilt of his hat in a mirror then turned back around to Arpeggio, "Well? How's it look? Bring back memories?"
Arpi just chuckled. "Heheh... lookin' as dashing as ever, hon." The brown pegasus gave Silver a nuzzle on the cheek. "And yeah, it does. Let's go... lead the way." He was still on edge, but he figured he could afford to relax a little.
Silver blushed and tensed at the nuzzle, still not used to the fact that Arpe might be his coltfriend. He relaxed as soon as he noticed, and smiled as he walked out the door, down the hall, and out of the building, hearing a bit of the music and dull roar of a crowd of ponies.
Ferrarity was still out on the dance floor shaking her flank to the sounds of the music. She took a moment to check on her friends seeing that the were having a good time, Charlie taking part in having some drinks and conversing with some pony it seemed she knew. She decided to take a break from dancing and go get a drink herself and cool down from her dance fever.
Blackwing pushed open the door, slipping inside. Having never been a huge fan of music, much less LOUD music, the bass felt as though it was rattling his brain inside his skull. He took a moment to gather his bearings, scanning his eyes through the crowd to find any familiar faces, when he was distracted by two mares that walked past him. He smiled to himself, shaking his head and getting back to the matter at hoof. He went back to scanning the crowd until he found Ferrarity over by the bar grabbing a quick drink. "A few drinks wont hurt anypony.... Or, the drinks wont anyhow." He mumbled to himself, straightening his tie and walking over to were Ferrarity sat. He plopped himself down in the seat next to her. "Hey there Ferr," he said, a friendly smile on his face, "enjoying yourself?" He asked.
Ferrarity's head perked up and she looked over at Blackwing next to her with a half surprised half worry look. "Blackie? What are you doing here? I thought you left after...well ya know." She turns to the bartender and orders her drink of her favorite, Applejack Daniels then turned back to Blackwing. "To answer your question, I'm doing fine. Just enjoying the party and taking a break from dancing. You're alright now, right?"
"Me? Im peachy keen! Never been better." He said, laughing. "Just had a bit of a "freak out" back there, trust me, I know EXACTLY where my mind is now. Trust me, nothing like that will ever happen again." He waved the bartender away, not wanting to get too lost into the bottle at the moment. "As far as dancing, I dont do it, these legs werent made to get funky." He said, trying to be goofy. He raised his brow at the odd look the pony was still giving him, he let out a audible sigh. "I promise, you are in no danger from me." He said matter-o-factually.
Ferrarity tilted her head and blinked for a moment then nodded with a smile. "Alright! I'm just glad you're back to normal then, you really scared me there. And you don't dance? Come ooon! Everypony knows how to dance! I'll show ya after I have my drink, sound good?" She takes her drink which was four small shot and downs one then another, setting them down with an audible tap. "Mmm mmm, that's my drink of choice!"
"Careful now, you dont want your night to end before it even starts do ya? Im trying to not get flat drunk off my flank for once. That, and im more of a Vodka person." He said laughing admirably at the red mares ability. "In regards to dancing, your talking to the stallion that is KNOWN for having four left hooves, im sure a salmon has more rhythm them I do, its pretty bad. And why does it seem that all of the good looking mares seem to know how to dance anyway?" He asked, a sly smile on his face.
Ferrarity giggled at Blackwing. "It's nice of you to worry about me, but it'll take more then some tiny shots to get me spun! I have a high tolerance to alcohol, so try bout 10 bottles then I'll be getting close to that!" She downs the other two and sets them down, looking back at Blackwing with a grin. "And don't worry about the dancing you flatter, just come out to the floor with me and I'll show you that you can dance! C'mon!" She grabs Blackwing by his hoof and drags him out to the dance floor.
"I dont really know how that makes any sen-" He was cut off as the mare grabbed his hoof and drew him into the crowded dance floor. Not only was the idea of dancing a VERY foreign concept to him, much less dancing at a party, with a mare no doubt. If these had been "normal" circumstances, "normal" being that he wasn't complacently insane, he would have been freaking out, more then likely unable to stand, much less dance. The anxiety had been replaced with nothing but a calm composure, as though nothing really mattered.
Ferrarity let go of his hoof then turned around to him with a smile. "You're pretty calm for one who sounds so nervous! Just try to follow my lead, trust me, you'll be fine! Let the music help guide you!" She talked over the music so he could hear her and winked at him and started to do some simple movements with the music that was playing. "Come on Blackie, shake your flank!"She tried giving him some words of encouragement as she started to dance more to the music.
