Whim shook his head. "There was no real reason other than curiousity. My friend talked about Pinkie Pie when I first arrived here, and I've heard the name a couple other times as well. The last name Pie tipped me off and made me want to ask. Whim shrugged, then thought of another question. "How has the rock farm business been for you lately? I haven't been hurting your business, have I?"
-
"No, not at all. Business hasn't been very good, but it's not your fault. Ponies just don't want to buy rocks anymore, they all want gems, and I don't have enough of those.."
-
Whim cocked his head to the side, a little confused. "Oh, ok. Maybe you and I should set up a little business meeting after this. I have been having decent success in the market with some of my products. I would love to help you out, if you want?"
-
Blinkie smiles brightly, and nods, very thankful for the opportunity.
"I'd like that, I'd like that very much."
The group begins to approach the restaraunt, and Blinkie grins, quickening her pace.
"Have you sold minerals anywhere else?"
-
Whim saw the restaraunt ahead, and his stomach gave a growl at the thought of what lay inside. "No, this is my first and hopefully only location where I sell my rock. I tend to work with final products, such as marble and sandstone. I also get some special orders, but those are my main sellers. I came here from Canterlot, where it is not exactly a respectable position, farming rocks. I love it, it is a good use of my talent and affords me free time to do things like this." Whim gave her a grin. Talking with another pony about the intricacies of the rock market was extremely rare, so he appreciated it greatly.
-
Blinkie nodded.
"I've sold minerals in Appleoosa, Trottingham, and in the middle of nowhere. Never been to Canterlot, I've always wanted to go. Never been to Manehattan, either. I sell interesting rocks, for use in jewelry and decorations and such, and I also sell gems, if I can find them. Since I'm not a unicorn, I can't use that fancy gem-finding spell, so it's a bit harder for my. But, you gotta know the signs, you gotta read the dirt."
The young mare grinned, and approached the restaurant, her eyes wide.
-
((Hello? I really don't want this thread to die.))
-
((I figured @Whirl Wind would post. I kinda want him to be alive. Give me a minute, I'll see if I can grab him.))
-
((I am so sorry guys. I have been a bit under the weather lately and it has kept me from rp a lot.))
Whirl listened to the conversation as it dragged on. "I didn't know rock farming was so complicated. I mean, they are just rock.... right?" He thought as they approached what appeared to be their destination. "So it seems you are both rather fond of the earth. Can't say I blame you at all, it is rather fascinating. I prefer the sky though, for more than obvious reasons. Although that has not kept me away from the ground by any means. I prefer living on solid ground rather than the clouds." He explained to them both, trying to add something constructive to the conversation.
-
Whim smiled, letting his magic extend before entering, feeling all of the earth and creatures beneath them, all of the hoof beats around them. He did love the ground in all of its glory. "I think it would be interesting to sit on a cloud one day. I want to see how different the texture and the density are. They would probably be a very interesting feeling under my hooves, maybe like most pegasi, almost nonexistant. That would be really weird, feeling like there was nothing under me..." He shuttered a little just talking about it.
