oh ho, this muddies the issue
Assuming the ride empties out as it approaches the 30 minute mark, it'd go
10=2
10:01=4
10:02=6
etc until it reaches 20 people on the ride, with 2 coming off and 2 getting on each minute, until 10:21, when 2 people get off and no one gets on
This way would make the total 42
@Wandergirl108 MATHS! :egghead:
That's right!
For the first nine minutes the Ferris wheel is moving, the cars arriving at the unloading zone are unoccupied. For the last nine minutes of operation, needless to say, no one will be allowed to board the cars.
From the time the Ferris wheel fills up at 10 minutes past the hour until the last passenger steps off at 10:30, a total of 21 sets of passengers will have taken a ride on the Ferris wheel.
Just clarifying it how i see it
last one for today
riddle 63:
You've placed one joker and four aces with different suits facedown on a table. Use the hints below to determine the position for each card.
1. The club is to the immediate right of the heart.
2. Neither the diamond nor the joker is next to the spade.
3. Neither the joker nor the diamond is next to the club.
4. Neither the diamond nor the spade is next to the heart.
Hello again, Slowking
Using the simple logic of
D+H=Not Sp
J+D= Not Cl
D+Sp=Not H
Club TTR of H
Then The Club and Heart will always be together, regardless, making those two go H,C.
Neither the Diamond or the Spade are next to the Heart, and the Diamond is also not next to Club, meaning it must go to the left or right of them, with something in between. The Joker does not go next to the club OR the spade, meaning that it must go between the Diamond and the Heart. etc etc etc
Basically the line goes:
Diamond Joker Heart Club Spade
