Blinkie blushed slightly, taking another sip of her chocolaty heaven. "Yeah, maybe~..I felt for the guy, I know he tried. Still, I'm not sure about him, does he really get that angry that quickly? It scares me shitless, honestly."
"No, no...not usually," Silver said, taking a sip of his water and enjoying the warm scent of the hot chocolate in Blinkie's hooves, wising slightly that he had one, then glanced over at Blackie, who had passed back out after getting the water, "I guess I just hit a nerve with him last night.... I swear I was not myself last night... I hope I didn't ruin it for you two...."
Blackwings eyes flickered open once again, it took him a moment to realize he had passed back out. He took a drink of water to help his pounding forehead, and scanned the room again. His eyes stopped dead on Blinkie, and he remembered some of what had happened last right. The drinking contest.... The vodka, but that dosent explain the feeling that he owed her something. "H-hey Blinkie." He chocked out, propping himself up on the bed.
Air's eyes gently fluttered open, her eyes glistened slightly as they slowly adjusted to the morning sunlight.
She let out a small cute yawn which, trailed into an apparent frown.
Candi's sudden departure had left Air with nobody, She knew Ferr was upset but also angry, she couldn't turn to her ...
With a small flap she extended her gentle wings stretching them until her right wing let out a light crack.
The young, gray mare smiled, and got up, sitting up close to Blackwing, still cradling the hot cocoa in her somewhat chilly hooves. "Heya, Blackie..you feelin' okay? 'Cause, I was wondering.." She took another sip of her drink, relishing the sweet, sweet warmth. "..maybe we could go catch some coffee or something? Tonight, just the two of us?"
"Yeah, I-I think I might be up for that." He said, mentally kicking himself for being so stupid. He had ruined the night with that drinking contest. He winced from a headache brought in by too much thought. He swallowed down the rest of his bottle and tossed it to the side. "Sounds lovely."
Peeps sat up and looked at Ferrarity huddling away from the oppressive daylight. She stood up, trotted to the window and quickly flicked the curtains closed. "It should be safe to come out now." Peeps sat on the edge of her bed and waited for her roommate to show herself. "It has been a while since we've spoken. I have some news to tell you. How have things been?" Peeps smiled and waited anxiously to be able to spout the news of her new marefriend.
Blinkie smiled, and hopped up, making her way excitedly to the door. "See ya Silver, seeya Arp!" As she walked out the door, she smiled at Blackwing, motioning for him to hurry up.
Megabyte's ear twitched slightly as the sounds of shuffling about reached them. Slowly peeking an eye out from under her blanket, she spotted Red going about some type of morning activity. She stayed quiet for the time being, simply watching her roommate with curiosity. An unexpected cough left the gray mare, giving the possibility of alerting her fellow pony of her being awake. Deciding it would be best to not look like some kind of creepy spy, Megabyte slowly sat up in the bed, using the headboard as a backrest. "G-good morning Red." She said quietly, though in a voice that sounded quite stronger than that of the night before.
Red put the finishing touches on her drum kit before tuning around to respond. "Oh, sup." she commented, before trotting around the set and sitting on the little stool that she set up. Picking up her drumsticks, she tapped out a short rhythm before pausing, ad belting out a quick solo.
"So, feeling better?" she asked, while idly hitting a cymbal.
Peeps's brows knit together in a look of confused concern, My goodness, I have fallen behind on events. Last time that I checked it was Air that was concerned about Ferrarity being upset with her. Peeps scootched over on her bed so that she was sitting directly across from Ferrarity. "OK well suppose you tell me a bit about it, eh?" Peeps continued to look unwaveringly calm, comforting, and concerned as she waited to listen to her friend's strife.
Ferrarity bit her lip not sure she could tell the story though she gulps down her emotions and starts. "Well, Air and myself were going to go get lunch together and we met a new friend, Blinkie, along the way. She was going to join us...until I saw Candi going into Silver and Arpeggio's room. I know Candi and Arp don't get along well and I tried to help with that. She uncovered her head from under the sheets. "Though I wasn't on good terms with Candi because of what she did to Air, i was worried about Arp. He's also a good friend, and I didn't want anything to happen between them like it did with Air. So I excused myself to investigate and I found everything was ok." She breathed in then sighed as she sat up and huddled into a ball. "She...apologized, but I didn't know if I could believe she was truly sorry, so I told her I'd accept it only if she apologized to Air. She some what refused and she still didn't listen to reason."
Blackwing looked over at Silver, then at Arpeggio. His head was still pounding, but that wasent going I stop him from making up for his folly. Grabbing another bottle of water, he hopped out the door to catch up with Blinkie. "I'm... Sorry about last night," he said, walkin next to her, his head hanging slightly. "That hadent happened in years.... Now you know why I don't typically drink."
Silver smiled as he grabbed another bottle of water and watched Blackie leave behind Blinkie. He stood up unsteadily, and quietly started digging through a drawer, looking for a bottle of asprin.
Megabyte kept her eyes on Red while she worked with her drums, smiling slightly from the music that came up from the drum set. "A little better. Getting some sleep really helped. She replied with a happy tone in her voice. "Though, I wouldn't say I'm back to perfect. I'm just glad it's the weekend and I'll be able to rest without ruining my perfect attendance streak." She stated, smiling happily at the news that only really meant something to herself.
Peeps nodded along with Ferrarity's explanation but her eyebrows remained knit together in confusion. "I fail to see what you've done wrong. Why did that make Air unhappy?" Peeps bounced idly on her bed enjoying the movement after her long, very deep, sleep. She poked the stain that had formed on her pillow from her unconscious drool and flipped the pillow over.
"Well there's more. I asked for the story about why Candi hit Air, she refused as did others to tell me what happened. I was angry that Candi hit Air hard enough to make her bleed. She looked down sadly, shifting a bit as she huddled up a bit tighter in a ball. "It seemed Candi wasn't the slightest sorry for doing it...friends don't hurt friends that way. We had a bit of an argument then she left, and I guess Arp thought I was going to fight with her when I walked out into the hall since he grabbed me to hold me back, though I had no intent on doing that...unless she hurt Air again. She shut her eyes tight, making a slight whimpering sound. "Then...Air got mad at me and went after Candi. I....I've never seen her that way before...I could tell she hated me right there and then. I just...I fell to pieces." She was on the verge of crying but held back the tears. "Nopony wanted to tell the story about what happened, I asked Candi to explain herself and she just laughed. Doesn't that say that she's hiding something? I was suspicious when Candi wouldn't say anything about what transpired, don't you think that makes her guilty enough?" She lifted her head and looked at Peeps as tears started rolling down her cheeks. "And now...Air hates me...and I'm only thinking about her well being. What if Candi didn't control herself then next time something happened? I'm...I'm afraid something worse could've happened..."
Peeps trotted over and set herself down alongside her crying roommate and placed a solid foreleg around Ferrarity's shoulders and squeezed a little bit "If this is the first fight from a few days ago I know that Candi was a bit upset because she thought that Silverwing and Air had something going on, Air got upset during the ensuing argument and overstepped by saying something about Candi's pregnancy. That is why Candi hit Air. I am not certain why they would refuse to talk to you about it, but perhaps it is because of all the romantic coupling that has been shuffling around among our companions? I think that emotions are running high right now and things will be OK. At the very least, you should not assume the Air hates you without speaking with her about the incident first." Peeps rubbed her roommate's back a little stiffly, but she attempted to be comforting despite how uincomfortable and awkward Ferr's tears made her feel.
Ferrarity sniffled a bit, hugging Peeps back as a way of saying thanks. "Well at least I know some of it now, but I feel there's still more to it. I know Air wouldn't do such a thing, she's too sweet for that. But I can't face her Peeps, this is the third time I've upset her...the THIRD time. I doubt she ever wants to see me again."
Air stood sadly over what was Candi's bed, it was left neatly ready for whoever would replace her. There wasn't even a pinch of evidence was left behind of the fact she was there...
Air sighed and sat back on her bed picking up her Plush Vinyl and embracing it warmly, she needed support from somewhere, even if it came in the form of a plush pony.
"What do i do Vinyl? ... Ferr is going to be so mad at me for shouting ..."
She asked with a pinch of hope, she just wanted a friendly face right now.
"Perfect attendance? I wouldn't be able to do that, I'd miss a day before school ended, regardless if I was sick or not." Red laughed, while tapping her hoof on the pedal for the bass drum, creating a loud thumping souls that could probably be heard from a few rooms away. "I have a habit of skipping a few days, I can't go a long time without a break, stress gets to me, and I end up dropping my grades faster than a rock."
"Aren't you worried about getting in trouble when you do that? You also miss some information that might be important for the class, or even after you graduate..." Megabyte replied while keeping her attention on Red, sounding very much like the nerd that she was. "I suppose if you were too stressed to focus on anything, that might be a good excuse... But you shouldn't miss too many days."
Red drilled a few more drums on her set, creating a rhythmic pattern of a bass drum hit, then striking a cymbal a few times, repeating this a few times.
Well, I have a habit of getting extremely demotivated durning long periods of time without breaks. I had that habit in high school, I'd do great for a month or two, then Start falling asleep in class." she laughed, before doing an extremely fast and long drum solo.
"Well, I wasn't good in most of the things I did in school anyway, I'm rather smart myself, I just... gave up really. My parents were always pestering me to do better, but I just couldn't, by the time I actually started doing something, it was too late." Red gave a sigh, before qickening her drumming pace. "The thing is, I wish I could I could have done better." She said, angry at herself. "I'm surprised I got in to this place, honestly."
"But you did make it in, so you know that you must be smart at least." Megabyte replied with a happy smile, trying her best to reassure her friend and make her feel better. She paused for a moment, sniffling lightly before a sneeze forced its way out of her muzzle. "Well, since we're friends and roommates, I can help you any time you need it. I can't do your homework for you, but I'll gladly be somepony you can lean on."
Arpeggio yawned widely as he began to awaken, the big pegasus stretching his forelegs out. His mane was kinda messy... messier than usual, anyway. He rubbed the sleep from his eyes as he sat up. "Good... haaaah~ Good morning, guys..."
Silver was still sitting at the edge of his own bed nursing his third bottle of water as he heard Arpe stir on the bed and sit up. Looking up and back at him, Silver smiled gently, "good morning... it's just me..."
Arpeggio smiled at Silver. "Feeling okay, bud? I see you found the water... you sleep okay?" He remembered the other night... and that he'd slept in Silver's bed. "Haah... slept like a log, I did... glad it's the weekend."
Silver groaned and rubbed his head, "If it was a coma or if it was sleeping i'd never know... I just know Celestia knows no pain like the kind I'm having now..." Silver was avoiding bringing up how he had woke up in bed next to Arpe, not knowing what would happen, " but as with everything, it can be solved with more fluids to flush that shit out..." Silver finished his bottle of water, going to get another one, and leaning his head against the concrete wall as he opened up the new bottle.
"Thanks for the offer, and I suppose I'd have to take you up on that offer when I need help. All I'm really takin now is Music Theory, so I'm not sure how much you can help..." Red put down her drumsticks and rubbed her eyes. I suppose I'm still drowsy, but that happens when you get up as early as I did." Red tilted her head "Strange, I almost neve get up that early. Huh." she commented.
Megabyte nodded her head lightly as she stayed in the warmth of her bed. "That's true...I don't know a whole lot about music or anything like that..." She replied with a somewhat heavy sigh, her ears slowly folding back onto her head as she began to feel guilty about not being able to follow up on her offer so soon. Her head slowly tilted to the side after hearing Red's comment about the time. "Maybe you just got a really good sleep and didn't need to sleep in?"
Ferrarity laid back in bed, hiding under the covers, she didn't want to go out at all for risk of running into Air. "I'm just going to have to stay in my room as much as possible. Good thing it's the weekend, I wanna go out as little as possible." She sighed then wide eyed a little as her stomach growled. "Well, that's one reason to leave." She slowly crawls out of bed shaking her head to straighten out her bed head mane then walks out her room and heads for the food court to satisfy her hunger. "I just hope I don't run into Air..."
Peeps sighed a little and swallowed her frustration at Ferr's illogical statement, She is upset and does not realize what she says make little sense.. Peeps lifted the corner of her mouth in a sad smile and said softly, and dripping with concern, "We all say things we regret and Air is, in fact, sweet and kind, so it follows that she would be inclined to forgive you, does it not?" Peeps smiled a wide, encouraging smile and nudged Ferr playfully with her shoulder.
Peeps watched her roommate hide under the comforters and as she was about to provide an argument against her roommate's plan to remain in bed all weekend, Ferr's stomach made the argument for her. Peeps shook her head a little and smiled affectionately as she watched her roommate trot out of the room and down the hallway. She stood up and threw on her saddlebag, she adjusted the straps comfortably on her back and tilted her head to the side to allow her mane to fall to one side. She shrugged a little and thought This seems to be as attractive as I will get. Peeps shrugged, to dismiss her reflection's judgmental stare and began the short journey to room 215 and her awaiting, ill marefriend.
Peeps lifted a hoof to gently knock on the dorm room's smooth wooden door. Her hoof made a solid, sharp, thunk against the solid panes that made up the door. Peeps remained quiet, listening for sounds of life from inside the dorm room, as she shifted her weight impatiently and waited for a response.
"Made it without a hitch." Ferrarity said as she came into the food court, the smell of breakfast filling the air as she caught a whiff of it making her stomach growl as if insisting on getting some like yesterday. "I heard ya the first time, don't be so pushy." She said to her stomach. She then moved on getting a tray and selecting some items for breakfast. Some scrambled eggs, potatoes, toast and apple juice to drink. She took her tray and found a place to sit as she started eating her food in peace, forgetting about the ordeal troubling her for that moment while she ate.
Silver finished off the bottle, tossing it lazily across the room and grinning to himself as it plonked back onto the tile floor on the other side of the room, before losing his smile and looking down at the floor, finally speaking again, "So did anything.... you know... happen while I was out? Because... ya... how I woke up this morning..." Silver was very close to blushing in embarresment just thinking about it, "Because... we.... I.... shit.... I don't know what to say.... "
"That's probably it." Red nodded. "I have tk admit though, I'm lazy, and I love sleep. When I was 15, my mother would tell me to wake up, and I would. Long enough to fall right back asleep again!" Red laughed. "If I stay anywhere long enough, I'll fall asleep. I'm pretty sure I could fall asleep if the wide world of Equestria was burning to the ground!" Red joked, still laughing.
Megabyte listened to Red with a quiet giggling. "Just make sure you don't fall asleep in the middle of the road." She said in her best attempt at teasing her new roommate. Her ears perked themselves up as a sound came to them: a knocking on the door. "I think somepony might be at our door Red, can you get it since you're up?"
Red gave a nod, before getting off her drum sets stool, and trotting over to the door. She turned the knob, and opened the door slowly. "Oh, hello!" She said to the pony on the other side of the door. "How are you?" she asked, opening the door all the way.
"Hm?" Arpeggio had begun to drink a little of a water bottle of his own. "No, not really. After Blackie passed out, you were pretty much completely hammered... I carried him back while you followed; I let Blackwing crash in my bed last night, so we shared yours. Hope you don't mind..." He did remember something. "Oh, well... cliché though it kinda is, you did say 'I love you, man' to me and I thought that was very sweet of you, Sil." He chuckled lightly.
"Eeeeeh.... hehe..." Silver nervously chuckled, rubbing his head, "Well.... no.... but. I just was worried there for a second..." Silver looked at the ground, rubbing his head with both hooves as he leaned against the wall, hiding the slight blush from realizing what he said the night before was a bit too strong for the start of any sort of relationship. Then again, why was he thinking about a relationship?! "Heh. Did blackie do anything nutzo? Like get all lovey-dovey with... ugh, whats her name.... Blinkie?"
