"Huh...?" Arpi looked over Silver's shoulder at the note Candi had written. He felt a bit of shame creep into him, like a cold rock in the pit of his stomach. "Sil..." He wasn't really sure how the grey pegasus was going to take this.
Sil stayed still, looking at the note, while sounding strangely happy, "Just a note is all! She was leaving anyway so she just left me a note!" Silver turned around, a stupidly fake grin on his face as his eyes watered noticeably, "I'm Fine! just fine!"
Blackwing shifted awkwardly, desperately trying to think of something to say to attempt to cheer the red pony up. After thinking for several moments, and still coming up short, he let out a sigh. "Do ya.... Do you wanna talk about it?" He asked, hoping for a reply of some kind.
"Oh... Silver..." Arpeggio could see his eyes watering, and the grin was too fake. He didn't bother asking; he just went over and embraced the smaller stallion into a big warm hug, rubbing Silver's back gently with a hoof. "It's okay... I'm sure she had a reason for doing that..."
Silver returned the hug, "I-i-i-i didn't even get to say goodbye...." Silver stuttered out, trying to keep the fake upbeat attitude, "I just wish I could have explained it to her... BUT NO PROBLEM! I'm JUST FINE!"
He stated at the mare for a couple of seconds, then went into a state if deep thought, trying to think back to his high school years, thinking about what she had said. "Er....che cosa c'č nella tua mente? Ummmmm.... quello che posso fare, se non altro. qualsiasi cosa in generale." He said shakily, never thinking he would have put that very limited skill to use.
After a swift beeline across campus from the cafeteria to the dormitories, Peeps was exhausted. She breathed heavily as she trotted down the hallway and knocked on 215. "Hrro! I habvesh retubned." Peeps called, before realizing that she was still holding the bag handle with her mouth.
Finally, Blinkie returned with the food, having spent the last of her bits. She sat down next to Blackwing, and tried to gather as much of their conversation as possible, passing out the food.
Megabyte quietly watched the events going on in the room around her, slowly sitting up with her back against the headboard of the bed once the promise of food was given to her. "Y-you can put them...*cough* wherever you wish, Red. I haven't had enough time here myself to really get a routine going." She replied with the best smile she could manage in her weakened state.
Moments later, her ear twitched as a knocking came from the door. A very faint giggle escaped the gray pegasus upon hearing Peeps' voice from the other side. "I th-think Peepsie might need some help."
Silver started quietly sobbing, letting the tears flow with the clenched teeth, his chest heaving with the gentle sobbing as he hung on the larger pegasus. After a few moments, he pushed away from Arpe, sniffing as he said, "*sniff* I really shouldn't be doing this so fast..... heh, this kindof situation started this in the first place..."
The brown pegasus seemed rather unsure. "...A-Alright, Sil..." He had some time, still. Arpi sat down, waiting for his friend to calm down some, though it honestly hurt him a bit to see him crying like that. 'I wish I could hug him... he shouldn't have to hurt like that... what a mess this turned out to be.'
Ferrarity didn't expect another to know Istallion, is was a little surprising to her but she was still in a bad mood. She sighed slowly, sliding her bowl over to her as she raised her head. "Spero credo." She looked at her bowl of food for a moment, thinking. She closed her eyes and sighed again, downing the entire bowl of spicy noodles in one go, setting the bowl down and licking her lips. "Grazie per il pasto, mi scusi." She felt her down mood would affect the two so she got up from the table and headed back to campus, though on her way out, her spicy dish was making itself known as she had a look of surprise on her face when she stood up.
Silver laid down and sobbed to himself for a moment, thinking Arpe had left. He didn't care anymore, he just needed to. But crying on Arpe would have been too soon, especially after what had happened. After a minute or two of wallowing to himself on the floor, he stood up, smiled smiled slightly to himself, facing the window away from the brown onlooker, and let out a sad, yet content sigh.
Silver turned around, and saw Arpeggio there, the smile still on his face, but the sadness still in his eyes, seemingly gazing off into nothingness most of the time, "Alright.... If you insist Arpe."
Arpi gave Silver a warm caring hug. "...My practice starts soon but it's done a little after four. I don't want you to feel bad about me missing it. Meet me at the cafeteria after that and we'll have an early dinner together. He patted his friend's back before breaking the hug. "Alright?"
"Alright, I'll meet you there," Silver said with the same non-focused smiling, his voice light and airy, as if his mind was elsewhere, "I think I'll go fly around a bit... See what there is to see..."
With that, he went to the window, gently opened it and flew out, closing the windows behind him, and going out and swirling about the clouds, gliding just above the rooftops and heading to the edge of the campus.
Arpeggio sighed lightly, his heart going out for his roommate. This couldn't have been easy for him... the big brown pegasus went to his closet and got his boxing gear out before heading outside and flying towards the gym to have his practice. As he went, his mind was still occupied by Silver's plight. "I hope he's gonna be okay..."
Red laughed for a few seconds before walking over to the door and knocking on if. "Whoooooooo iissssssss itttt?" she said while knocking, still laughing.
She turned to Megabyte "Lets see how long we can keep this up!" Red whipsered to her.
"Thanks alot Blinkie, ill pay you back when we get back to the school."Blackwing said, sliding his bowl over to him as he began eating at a leisurely pace. He looked up for a moment, seeing that Ferrarity was already done and leaving the table. He debated with himself if he should try and stop her, but being as all i his other attempts had failed, he looked back down at his bowl. "I'll catch up you later then, I guess....." He said, his voice trailing off.
Peeps stood up straight, a little surprised, I must have been gone longer than I had originally believed. Peeps then carefully set the bag aside before calling back through the door "It is I, Peeps. I have returned with hay fries for Red and soup for Megabyte. May I come in, or shall I leave the food out here and return to my own room?" Peeps shifted back and forth from hoof to hoof uneasily as she waited in the hallway.
Megabyte couldn't help letting a weak giggle escape her while listening to Red, eyes widening with worry as Peeps' words entered her ears. "P-please let her in now..." She said quietly to Red, not wanting to make Peeps go away and make her sad. She wanted to be with her marefriend as much as she could as well. "She did something nice for us... We can't be rude..."
Red role her eyes. "Alright, alright." Red muttered, before opening the door and letting Peeps in.
"I wanted to see how long I could keep the joke going, didn't take to long to run out apparently." she stated.
Ferrarity started sweating looking like her lunch was going to make itself known as her cheeks puffed up like a squirrels. "HHHOOOOOOOT!!!!" She shouted as steam blew from her nose and ears and her mane was looking a little fiery for effect. She then ran out of the place at break neck speed, heading back to campus as she zoomed down the dorm halls, to her room, though when she tried to stop she slid past her room and knocked over a trash can in the hall. She scurried back to her room, bursting through the door as she frantically searched her room.
Silver was blissfully flying along a road, heading out of the town, rocking back and forth and humming to himself a light, airy tune, he heard a pony rush by on the ground, heading the opposite direction and saw the dust trail originating at a noodle shop. Ah, memories... He was thinking as he landed in front of the shop and meandered in, looking around with no real purpose.
After the day's drama Air was laying staring up at the ceiling, tears had shed and passed at both Candi's sudden departure and how she responded to Ferr's actions ...
She rolled over and gazed at what was Candi's bed and gave a sorrow frown. Her only true friend at college before Ferr had now left and she had even annoyed Ferr, she was alone.
Ferrarity couldn't find what she was looking for in her room as it was a mess from her frantic searching. "Need....relief..." She was jumping around her room not able to hold still as the spiciness from her food was burning her like crazy. She was used to spicy things, but this was more spicy then she was used to. She stared bouncing off the walls of her room then ricocheted down the dorm halls, unable to contain herself as the burn was really affecting her.
Blackwing watched Ferr dash out of the shop at breakneck speed. "Dang... She really is fast" he mumbled to himself. A few moments later Silverwing walked through the door, a faraway look in his eyes, but not from anger. He was confused as to how Silvers mood could have been turned around so quickly. Without hesitation he stood up and waved to his friend. "Sil! Over here!" He called, also grabbing the attention of some of the other customers. With a sheepish smile, he sat back down in his chair, still waving his friend over
Hearing his name, he saw Black Wing waving him over, so he sauntered over there, in no hurry whatsoever. He got to the table, and Smiled, not really focusing on anyone, but his attention obviously on Blackie, "Hey man..." Silver said, his voice showing how off kilter he was, "Sure reminds me of high school here.... heh."
"Yeah man, we had some gooood times at that noodle shop forever and a half ago." He said, still eyeing his friend. "So what's got you in such a good mood all of a sudden? Last time I saw you, you looked like you were ready to off yourself." Blackwing asked, having never seen his friend like this before, he was very curious.
Blinkie quietly ate at her noodles, not wanting to disrupt the nostalgic conversation between the two old friends. She focused on eating, trying to remain inconspicuous, not wanting to interrupt.
"Oh... Me? Bad mood? I wasn't in a bad mood... not that I remember," Silver then rolled his eyes, keeping the same, nonchalant tone, "It's not like I just went through something devastating and I'm suppressing it because I know how it can hurt me if I don't."
His eyes fixed themselves, a slight grin still on his face as he looked around, and noticed Blinkie sitting there, "Heh... well... good for you Blackie... getting out with a mare now..."
Putting 2 and fish together (making an inference that was obviously wrong) he was reminded of earlier in the day, causing his eyes to glaze over and stare out into space.
Blackwing stared at his friend. Slightly taken aback by his actions. Never had he seen any pony act like this, much less Silver. It took a few moments for what he said to sink in. "Oh nonononononononon." He started, his cheeks a light red color. "We were just grabbing lunch, trying to get Ferrarity out of her bad mood, you just missed her. Your mistaken......"
Blinkie smiled sheepishly, shaking her head, her face beginning to blush as well. "Oh, no, no..we were, um, yeah, what he said...helping Ferr, getting lunch." Her blush intensified as she stumbled over her words, trying to find what to say.
Silver chuckled, picking up a spoon and playing with it, "Heh, suuuuuuuuure you two aren't..." Silver said, blissfully not really caring, "That must've been who rushed outof here... You just keep telling yourselves that..."
"Oh. You were pretending not to know who I was? For the purposes of humour?" Peeps stood there looking puzzled for a few seconds and then let out a single chuckle. "Yes, quite humorous." Peeps leaned down, collected the bag from the floor beside her, and stood at the threshold of the room. "May ah cub en?" Peeps spoke around the weight of the bag in her mouth, and thrust her muzzle (and the bag) forward as an offering.
