I work hard most every day,
Not much time to dance and play,
If I could reach what I desire,
All like me would now retire.
What am I?

Doctors are well known to work shifts that can last up to several days at a time, and even when not working they need to keep up to day with medical practices. Also, should they cure all ailments, then they would no longer be required, and as such would all retire (in theory)
@Boston there ya go now you know the answer.
riddle 131:
I am eight letters long and am kept a secret from everyone. Letters two through four spell an animal, letters four to the end make a weapon, letters one, two and eight make what you use in an exam and my third and fourth letters are the same. What am I?

riddle 132:
I lack much reason and require logic to pass the time
To get the words to tell your kin
Look for clues that lie within
Though all are different, they act the same
The answer is practically in the name
What am I?
this might be a bit abstract... but...
life.
A riddle?
That part of the riddle was sword anyway. The riddle said letters 4 through 8 spelled a weapon, not just letters 5 through 8. So yeah, brae messed up with the right answer. :tinyshrug:
I lack much reason and require logic to pass the time
To get the words to tell your kin
Look for clues that lie within
Though all are different, they act the same
The answer is practically in the name
What am I?
Graahh... trying to wrap my head around this one... my thoughts wandered to some sort of collective or gathering of many "to get the words to tell your kin"... High school drifted through my mind "though all are different, they act the same," but that doesn't match with the rest of the riddle... "answer in practically name" well of course it is, because the name is the answer... what kind of clue is that? Unless it's riddle as Lints guessed, being the fact that it is a riddle making it the answer.
@Matrim Cauthon Yea it's a riddle

number 133:
Two bodies have I, though both joined in one.
The more I stand still the faster I run.
What am I?
A river? Specifically the delta where it meets the ocean?
How 'bout an hourglass? Just a hunch
Two bodies have I, though both joined in one.
The more I stand still the faster I run.
What am I?
So if you start shaking with an hourglas or take it in your hand for a walk or even hold it sideways then the sand will fall faster? :notamused: I'm calling bullshit on your interpretation.
What?
"The more I stand still the faster I run."
This line is just plain wrong. you turn an hourglass, it starts running, it runs at a generally constant rate, until the sand has all passed through.
Shaking it, or going on a walk with it has nothing to do with the fact that the statement is wrong in itself.

I kind of doubt that you read the first post, we try to only let one person post riddles to avoid confusion. But fine we'll try this one then for now, sure hope you're one of the active new members and not one that visits once and never comes back.
I think I got it though, just got to read along the lines of the diamond.
A jeweled ornamental coronet worn by women. -> a tiara
That's really hard for non-english people man. I had to google if ornamental and coronet were even words.
Well while we wait for the answer...
136:
People speak through me, yet I do not make a sound.
People can sell me, yet I have many clones.
I can bring you laughter between breakfast and tea,
Yet I can also break your heart easily.
I cover the earth like trees of old,
Whose leaves can blind and yet enfold.
