^>^ I will continue to contribute to RiM as much as I can.
The help is much appreciated.
I would like to take this opportunity to apply, although as with most thing work tends to get in the way.
-How would you describe your writing skills?
I would define my writing skills as average, English was never my strong subject in school but then again I wasn't all that interested in the forced readings and reports on literature I wasn't into.
-How would you describe your grammar and spelling skills?
I would describe my grammar the same as my writing, average, while I may make some errors I try to minimize the blatant errors.
-Are you able to keep the deadlines that are given to you? (Reports are due NO LATER THAN 2 hours before the show starts[subject to change])
I would say I can keep deadlines as I deal with them daily, but due to my schedule I would most likely hand them in the night before as I get home and have food consumed either just in time or a little after the start of the broadcast.
-What sources would you get your brony news from?
My sources would most likely be the standard sources; EqD, DHN, FOB Equestria, and what else I may find on Google.
-When would be the best day for you to turn in your reports?
At this point I am applying and will do what is needed, but may be able to get more information over the weekend (but then again cant we all).
-What sort of area would you like to report on? (Brony News and Merchandise, Fan Fic Submission, et cetera)
To this I have no preference at all, again what ever RiM needs at the moment I would like to try to spread the load.
-What makes you want to be a RiM Reporter?
I would like to give back to the broadcast that has given me so much enjoyment.
Alright it looks good. A few things to keep in mind:
-You will be writing for a broadcast, this means keep things short and simple. You don't need to make it look like a school report or a web article. Using the smallest and easiest words is actually best for broadcasting. (tl;dr= Keep it simple).
-You obviously don't have to get all the news, just see what catches your eye and write what you think is important.
-Your sources are good, for most reports. Every once in a while, try and go to the primary source (like hub/hasbro facebook or a community tumblr). That way we aren't always just repeating what EqD says, but that is just every once in a while.
It looks like Mondays would be best for you. You can browse the news over the weekends, and turn it in Sunday night. Are you okay with that? We have a Wednesday open as well, if you didn't want Monday.
Also, Thanks for taking the time to apply.
yay! a new reporter:happy:
