Blinkie shrugged, and took a sip from the bottle, then storing it in her saddlebags.
"Alright, then. Just stay close, and soon enough, we'll be there."
She began to trot forward, towards the road out of Ponyville.

Blinkie shrugged, and took a sip from the bottle, then storing it in her saddlebags.
"Alright, then. Just stay close, and soon enough, we'll be there."
She began to trot forward, towards the road out of Ponyville.
"So, how long will it take us to get there?" Red asked Blinkie.
"Is it really far out there, near Everfree Forest?"
She smiled at Red, then looking out onto the path.
"Farther than the Everfree, a couple miles after you leave it."
She grinned.
"Why, are you nervous?"
Whirl shuddered. "Somepony might have to carry my unconscious body through the Everfree forest. I tend to be a little... frightened whenever I go in there. Terrified really. But I still want to go, so if I start to panic... Whim, you knock me out and carry me through." He said as he turned to Whim with a smile.
Blinkie neared the entrance of the Everfree Forest, and she stopped for a second, checking her trench spike.
"Ready? Because there's no turning back once we go in there."
Red gave a little shudder. "To answer your question, I am a little nervous. It IS the Everfree you know."
Blinkie nodded, tossing the mare a satchel.
"Here's your equipment. Pickaxe, trench spike, shovel, lantern, you know. I would keep that trench spike handy, you never know what's in the Everfree.."
Whim smiled, "This is going to be very interesting, Everfree interests me a great deal. I've never been all the way through before." He looked at Blinkie, and thought for a second. Interesting choice of mining location, it really can't get much more dangerous. I hope she knows what she is doing with these ponies. Whim put a leg up on Candi's shoulder to let her know everything would be alright.
Red, taking the equipment and slinging it on her back, bent down from the added weight. She wasn't used to this.
"I just hope what I signed up for isn't a deathwish..." she muttered.
Blinkie looked into the forest, steeling her stance, thinking.
"...I hope I know what I'm doing."
She cleared her throat, and shook fear out of her head.
"..alright, let's head in."
Blinkie took the first fateful step into the infamous forest.
