OK... I just don't think anyone is going to like a character who is a jerk, even if he does change later on. No one will give him the time of day to see his progression from jerk to nice guy

Characters do change in stories, but it doesn't happen instantly overnight, but you haven't given ANY reason to like him at all. The only reason anyone would read this is for the Mane 6, but you do a poor job of capturing their personalities. You also haven't given any reason why Twilight would be more willing to give him a chance when she was so against Discord... and really anyone else who wasn't already somewhat agreeable. Rainbow Dash seems more likely because she is loud and brash, but even that's highly unlikely.
You say not to think of this as MLP:FiM. If you want people to not think of it as such, then you shouldn't being using all the MLP:FiM cast and calling your work "MLP:FiM but better." You aren't targeting the same audience as bronies at that point. Use OCs. Make it your own story in Equestria WITHOUT the Mane 6. Perhaps you need to work on a side-project to practice before you try something of this scale. Or maybe you just need to not write about ponies at all.
I didn't think writing a book would be this much fun
I should have started doing this back when I was thinking up the episodes
@Trixie, sorry, you're on your own with this guy now. I'm actually relieved that he hasn't changed since last time he was here, means that I was right to be wary of saying anything to him at first this time round. But yeah, it's no longer worth my time trying to convince him that his delusion is anything more than that. Sorry
As @Totoro said, I think I'm also done. You're clearly not going to listen to anyone that even remotely tries to help and just do your own thing, unless of course they're singing your praises without any legitimate idea what you're doing.
LOL and now you know why I left here in the 1st place
*sigh* you just can't bother to argue with brick walls
Well, I guess I'll give you guys a little longer, until Saturday, but I doubt it's going to last long, and I'm probably going to leave for good this time
I came back because I wanted to give you guys a second chance, but it looks like I was wrong
I'd rather just continue to post MLP:WOF on Facebook where I can at least talk to people normally about it without only hearing "I hate MLP:WOF" constantly
At least people on Facebook are a little more open minded than you guys, no offense
No offense taken. At all. Ever. >.>
I don't think I saw anyone say they hate it exactly, but if you paid attention to the things most of us were saying, we were trying to give advice and tips on how to make it better. Also, by trying to say you're going to outdo the thing we're all here as fans of, of course you're going to be met with criticisms, skepticisms, hate, and other stuff. I think it's great to go out and write something and try to make your own thing like this, but when you bring in characters that are well-established in a universe like Equestria and try to run off with them without really knowing anything about any of them, or at least without being able to write them accurately, something in your story has to change. If you want to go back to where people won't challenge you to do better or encourage you to explore what you're writing to make it better, that's your business, but know that most of us here were only trying to help.
Good day to you, and I hope you learn to accept criticisms in the future for your own sake.
