Background: Berry grew up with her mother, father, and older sister, Cheerilee. She's seen quite a lot during her years, though she hasn't much let it affect her. She went to school as all fillies do, did what her parents told her... more or less, and she's kept herself in rather good shape, considering that she does have the bad habit of drinking a bit too often. Upon graduating from school, Berry tried many different jobs, from writing, to even glass making at one point! Though no job quite captured her heart like her job working as a bartender at the Element's Rest tavern. She put her soul into her work there for years, until one day her boss just kind of... vanished, leaving her to the ownership of the tavern. She took it in stride though, and now manages the tavern rather well, in her opinion at least, while waiting for her boss to get back. Aside from that there isn't much to say about Berry. She's had her share of relationships, and doesn't seem interesting in going for any others any time soon. Oh, and I probably should have mentioned this before - she has a filly of her own. She adopted her filly, Ruby Pinch, around four years ago, and while she can be thought of as a bit protective, she loves her daughter as if she were Ruby's own mother.
Personality: Berry Punch is quite lively, and while you may occasionally spot her off to the side, "drinking in" the conversation to get an idea of what's going on, she does often find herself working her way into being the center of attention - as she quite enjoys a good conversation with a friendly group of ponies. However once you get a few drinks into her, her mood might shift into that of a grumpier mare... Or perhaps seductive, depends how much she drinks!
Cutie Mark:
Berry earned her Cutie Mark at a rather young age, at a wine tasting event, no less. Of course she was only around seven years old at the time, and as such had no business being there. Thankfully it was only by accident that she ended up there - she had gotten slightly lost while visiting the zoo with her sister, Cheerilee, and her mother, Velvet. While searching for the two she somehow managed to wander into that wine tasting - Luna knows why it was being held so close to the park - and found herself fascinated by not the wine itself, but in fact the odd manner the ponies were behaving. As you, the reader, probably know, a wine tasting isn't exactly a drunken brawl! So young Berry found herself intrigued by all the ponies simply standing around drinking what appeared to be juice and acting very formal, and wandered over to one of them, asking what was going on. The pony she talked to is of little importance, though she found the young filly quite the cute girl, and upon Berry explaining what was going on, offered the filly a sip of non-alcoholic wine and to help her find her mother back at the zoo. Berry accepted both of those offers, and took a curious sip of the wine she was offered. Surprisingly - the young pony found the taste of the drink horrid, and spat it out at once. Though then she seemed to get an idea... What if she added something to it? Excusing herself from the mare who had given her the drink for a moment, she trotted over to where the mare had got the non-alcoholic wine from, where there were conveniently several boxes of juice! At this point I'm sure you know what this clever filly is going to do, but I'll go on anyway! So, little Berry opened and poured a hint of the juice - it was grape juice, with tons of sugar, if you were wondering - into her wine, with the mare looking curiously over her shoulder as she did, and stirred the drink in the glass. She examined her creation for a moment more, then took a sip of it. Surprisingly(?) it tasted great, and unsurprisingly, the filly earned her Cutie Mark! Which, while you may think it represents something to do with wine, it actually represents her talent at determining and knowing just what makes a good taste tasty! ... If that makes any sense... Also, kinda has to do with wine, huh?

Heyas, @Berry! This pretty much fills the story that most of us know regarding the Tavern, Cheerilee's submit matches up with yours for them being sisters (not surprising :p ) and the cutie mark story is cute, silly, and yet strangely fitting. Looks nice. A tad short on the background, buuuttt... it's basically an old transfer :tinyshrug:
When are we going to see Ruby again? Dinky still has her jumprope. :rainderp:
Anyways, accepted. Make sure to take everypony's keys before they get too drunk ohhhh wait, we don't have cars here, right... Well, take their orders good then!
