Canon Character: Spike the Dragon

Name: Spike
Gender: Male
Species: Dragon

Background: Spike was hatched from an egg when Twilight was attempting to pass her magic test. This feat of magic both gave Twilight a loyal Library Page, and a very good friend.
Spike has no knowledge of who his parents are, nor where he originally came from. He has attempted to figure out what dragons are really like, later realizing that he doesn't want to be like an actual dragon. He wants to be himself: Spike, a baby dragon whose family is a group of ponies.
He has an infatuation with Rarity, and although Rarity hasn't shown feelings for him often he still attempts to do stuff for her. There's been a few times where Rarity has shown affection for him, but they are far and few between. Rarity, most of the time, doesn't even acknowledges his feelings.
Personality: Spike is playful, very generous, very sensitive at times, but has a self-image of himself that's larger than life.
Playful: Spike is occasionally sarcastic and sometimes laughs at others' misfortunes. He is often defensive about his masculinity and dismissive of things he considers "girly", although his outward disdain is often a front for his true feelings. He's a fun-loving dragon with a playful side that anypony can get along with.
Generosity and Greed: Spike started out being very generous. On his first birthday in Ponyville, he offers Rarity his prized Fire Ruby to see her happy. However, when he receives a gift from the other ponies in Ponyville, something in him changes and he starts growing. And at an alarming rate as well, until he's as big as the Hydra. He rampages through Ponyville, taking everything from it and hoarding it. He then steals Rarity as well. However, seeing the Fire Ruby that she was then wearing around her neck, he remembers himself and becomes a small dragon once again. His generosity knows no bounds, in that regard.
Sensitivity: Spike is very caring of his pony friends, and gets worried about them easily, especially if they're worried or possibly in trouble. He also is really sensitive about himself as well, at one point scared that he would be replaced by an Owl that Twilight had somewhat adopted. And on another point, had mixed feelings about how he felt being a dragon living with Ponies. He even made a journey along the dragon migration route to find out what being a dragon is all about, eventually finding out that he enjoyed being a dragon whose friends were ponies.
Self-Image: Spike's ideas about himself are rather grandiose in nature most times, at one point imagining himself as a fantasy Knight saving Rarity from the clutches of an evil foe, and at another time flexing his muscles in a mirror, admiring himself. He has admitted to doing thus on more than one occasion.
Cutie Mark: None, because he's a dragon. XP
Optional: He will be used mostly for Shoutbox RP, maybe Forum RP if begged enough.
