Background: Flint saw his first movie was three years old when his parents took him to go see Daring Do and the Raiders of the Lost Oat at the local movie theater in Manehatten. Naturally as they left theater, Flint talked his parents ears off saying how he wanted to grow up to be just like Daring Do. It wasn't long after that Flint had all of the books memorized and his room at home was decorated with all kinds of Daring Do merchandise. It wasn't until after the young filly tried swinging from a lap post across a busy street that his parents finally told him that Daring Do was just make believe, and that archeologists "aren't really like that." Heartbroken, Flint spent the rest of day in his room watching Daring Do, Mare Wars, and other films he loved in the hopes it would cheer him up. As the credits rolled by for Daring Do and Raiders of the Lost Oat for the 5th time, Flint suddenly got an idea that would change his life forever. If he couldn't be Daring Do, he could always join her in that fantastic world of film! After all, there was nothing stopping him from becoming a director like Stephen Spielherd and create new adventures for his favorite hero. The appearance of his cutie mark only helped to seal the deal.

Since then, Flint Filmmaker has worked long and hard to achieve that dream. He started out simple with a few home made short films with his feisty little sister, JJ, typically playing the villains. By the time he was eighteen and off to college, Flint was a natural behind the camera. With graduation finally behind him, and a film degree in his pocket, Flint is ready to make the next step to reach the big time!

Unfortunately, college degrees aren't exactly free and the camera he once used back home has long been sold for spare parts. Taking his parents advice Flint has moved to Ponyville, a growing town ripe with job opportunities (and the occasional filming opportunity thanks to shady characters like Discord and Nightmare Moon causing so much adventure in town). Hopefully in due time, he will find a job and pay off his debts. Or better yet, start a small independent film studio to show the big wigs in Fillywood that he has what it takes.

Personality: Because Flint Filmmaker grew up with film heroes as his role models, he tends to try follow their examples. Making him courageous like Batmare, witty like Dr. Whooves, and always up for a good adventure like Daring Do. His obsessions to be like his heroes though have often gotten him, and his sister JJ, in awkward situations over the years; making Flint Filmmaker not exactly popular amongst the "popular" ponies and other bullies in Manehatten. Thankfully, most ponies look past the hero facade Flint tries to uphold and recognize him as the soft teddy bear that he is.
