      Rarity's Lego central (image heavy)

Most of you already know about my fondness for Lego, so I thought I'd start up a Lego thread. Any MOCs I make will be dumped here, as well as some pics going over certain building techniques I discover or create. Feel free to post your own creations here as well, or if you want to know how I did something, feel free to ask.

Without further adieu, here is my latest build, the H-10 Shaman heavy weapons platform.

      Spoiler: H-10 Shaman HWP

I'll have a lot more to share in the coming days as I dig up my archive of old builds. In the meantime, post your own creations!

Last year I built this whimsical thing for a little contest, inspired by this famous Dali painting and this beloved Russian book/cartoon. Won me second prize, that yellow Chima copter thing, which turned out to be really neat!

" I had a loooot of fun with it, and discovered I had more tan pieces than I even knew existed

      ---------------------------------
Just a little rundown of the motorcopter:

      * I made the head and body those of an elephant, and the neck and legs like that of a giraffe, and I also stuck those little antler horn things giraffes have on its head 'cause they're so adorable.

      * The pilot has a full set of controls and a swiveling and inclining chair so that she's always upright and can face in any direction, and it comes with a little sunshade that can be positioned over the head to block direct sunlight.

*The elephant trunk is capable of curling around and picking up objects, good for sorting through ruins or picking things up and also helps with stabilization and balance in flight, so that's handy. The eyes function as headlights of a sort.

*The big ol' ears can swivel to a horizontal position to pick up some air or go back down to a vertical stance to function as brakes, also very helpful.

*The two blue pieces where the stands meet the aircraft are just there to make the separation more visible.

*The neck can lift the pilots seat and the "head" of the craft all the way up or all the way down for whatever reason Miss Malone would wanna do that, and the default position is with the head down below the "body".

*The main hull has a lot of exposed machinery, some of which connects up to the rotor blades, and if you peek inside there's a glass structure with a power source. The power source, in case you're wondering, is the dreams of children (probably). The legs and itty bitty tail just sort of dangle. "

I very, very, very rarely build with System, and my System purchases are limited to minifig packs. My main thing is Bionicle c: I might post pictures of that stuff another time.

Here's a relatively small build I've been working on for a few days. It was supposed to be a small mech that turned into a ship, but I scrapped that idea after the joints couldnt support it right while still being able to fold up like I wanted. Oh well, it still looks like a pretty cool ship. Nothing I'm overly proud of, but it's good enough to share. It reminds me of a hot rod for some reason, so I like to think it's like some kids whipped-out sport ship.

      Spoiler: Space Rod

Me and my brother used to build giant fortresses for our characters when we were younger. I kinda stopped for a few years, than got interested in architectural builds. The last build I did was a year ago and it was a Maserk Line Container ship

They look Eldar. You could play Warhammer 40K with those Legos.

Now there's an idea. Would almost be cheaper than buying the actual miniatures lol.
